Not that when they throw a few bucks in a bucket that the money is going to organised crime and murdering kids in Warrington with bombs.

That logic is easily reversed though.

British people are so distanced from reality that their government on an official level, helped terrorists in the north, helped them kill catholics, armed them.. I know that was the past, but even today they arm warlords in Afghanistan who provide heroin to europe, they are on record as torturing people and giving gadaffi money.

I dont think it has anything to do with how and why british people make daily choices, thats more based on personal history.

The reason why they sing the rebel songs and some anti british songs is because a lot of them would have went to America on coffin ships because of british rule in Ireland. They were thrown out of their homes when they couldnt pay the bills because the crop failed, they had enough food to eat, but britain demanded it as rent money, rent money to live where they had lived for generations long before british rule.

So they gave the food as rent and starved to death, or ate it and got evicted from their homes and tried go to america, or were sent to australia for not paying their rent.

They went to America in slave like conditions, and some resentment and bigotry and a sense of staying Irish has been passed down through the generations.

And i think that comes into it more, than some sens of "oh lets send the irish money because they are the underdogs, its so romantic"..

Yeah I bet there was a few tense people. I was non the wiser, hadn't heard of the orange order at the time. My dad has told me they were a few people who were a bit weary of what the people would do if they found out there was an Irish Catholic wedding in the next room.

Just for the record I aint claiming to be Irish. Can't stand people who act like they are Irish when in reality they are fifth or sixth generation Scottish, English, American or where ever. Its often these people who won't let the past stay in the past and keep dragging up all the violence and hatred.

Lets not go into the fact that the English (who already invaded Scotland and Wales)

Invaded our country took the land off our people,

Charged them for living on it,

Didn't help said people during a devastating famine,

Terrorised our people for over 100 odd years, then left, after we fought back with turf and pitch-forks,

But decided to keep 6 counties as compensation,

In-which they terrorised the catholic population, and murdered them. And under which banner,?

A made up variation of the catholic religion, that even Henry the eighth HATED!!!!!

Soap is now vacant!
