Re: Your hangover cure

If I go mad and drink stupid cocktails, shots or random rubbish I think is a good idea when on holiday then I feel rubbish the next day.

Just drink cider, beer or wine and I'm usually OK, unless they have been mixed (wine then beer is not good) or I have had monumental amounts.
I had 3/4 a bottle of red wine saturday night and felt fine the next day.

Indeed, which is why I avoid consuming drinks that taste like alcoholic cough medicine in order to comply with the latest drinking fashion among the hard of thinking.

Almost as bad as people who pour blue liquid down their stupid necks, displaying their inability to resist advertising.

I only drink water because I like it not because of advertising.

Water is not supposed to be blue Mike.

I think Warren has got to your water supply.

it tastes delicious but is generally the cause of the worst hangovers!

Every time my bf drinks that he thinks he is dying the next day "no it's not a hangover I think I am really properly ill, take me to the hospital"

I'm really sympathetic, especially if I had to drive him home the night before.

Re: Your hangover cure

I wouldn't get a hangover from two bottles of wine. I have one now though but it will soon be gone, I just feel a little shakey.

pmsl he sounds normal to me !

See Michelle, I'm the other way around. I love Port, but I'll drink a Remy only occasionally and wouldn't drink BPs all night. But if I feel like I'm dying the next day, then I'll have a BP (equal measures of both) and neck it.

It's the quickest way to cure the DTs for me. :smileyhappy:

I normally have some Solpadols and a Resolve too, but they've stopped selling Resolve in our local Boots for some illogical reason ?

Re: Your hangover cure

best way to fight a hangover in my experience is diet. eat healthy the day before with a fair amount of fruit and veg (atleast 4 of ya 5 a day) and then wake up with something healthy again and plenty of water. it should fade away alot faster

Re: Your hangover cure

Drink so much you fall into a coma. When you eventually wake up your hangover will be gone.

Re: Your hangover cure

Getting sick and peeing a lot might dehydrate you further, and drinking water might not help with ethanol withdrawl.

People need to remember you lose more than water from dehydration, you lose salt, potassium, trace minerals, vitamins. Water isnt the best thing to rehydrate you but i guess it would help, b6 has shown to work in doses above 100% you can get 1000% tablets in hollande and barret.

Having all your vitamins and minerals topped up before you start losing them is a good idea.
