So what do you suggest that they do instead? Withdraw from one of their most lucrative product lines and explain to the shareholders that they've taken a moral stand on excess profits?

I think they just want to get out of the whole "numbered versions" thing. There is a point where it becomes almost like a parody.

Its not possible to make a show stopper every year, some years its just going to be a spec bump. Some years something special.

Its not just Apple, its all companies, I think the last "wow" thing I seen was the 41mp camera from nokia, when was their last "wow" announcement?  well the n9 with meego, but before that there wasnt anything for years..

htc have just been spec bumping non stop.

better screen, faster insides, if youre looking for an ipad it looks good to me.

At least Apple continue to support their old devices. They don't just chuck you to the curb and give you some bull***** story about the OS being too powerful 6 months after you've bought the device.

Thats true, android is a mess, total mess, they are already talking about the next big bump to android and who has ice cream sammich? not many.

It will be interesting to see if old microsoft phones get the spec bump to 8.

I think it looks good. Should I get it though. I have the first iPad but never got 2 as from 1 to 2 wasn't a big leap. Should I?

1 to 3 would probably be worth it, if you have the cash to spare, 2 to 3 might not be worth it. starting new at 3 would be good.
