I cant really call myself a hardcore gamer tbh but to me it seems like everything is about Xbox 360... they say wii has the highest sale figures but I find it so hard to belive. I walk into a game shop and see hardly any wii games on the shelves... anyway yesterday I walked into 'head' (the old virgin megastores) and there were no games in there at all apart from XBOX 360 and a few preowned PS2 games... Every game shop I got to, even commercial stores like Tesco and Sainsburys the shelves are rammed with 360 games, a few PS3 games and either little or no, wii games.... I dont really have many friends to play online with the PS3 a total of 4 of my frien own one.. the other 50 or so friends own 360s! and it seems a common case too I read all the time about people saying all their friends own 360s, baffles me it really does because once youve bought the gold membership wireless adapter etc you would have payed the same price as a ps3 where internet is free!

Not really no, only the US is that it has a large lead over the PS3. Japan, the PS3 is ahead, and most of europe (the exception being the UK).

No not a console war... I mean the 360 is a decent console Ive had one before It just a simple question really.. In the UK it seems like everything is about the 360, I dont know about the US, if this turns into a 'war' then it wasnt what I intended and really dont see why it should anyway.

When I look in Sainsbury's or game shops I see pretty much the same number of 360 and PS3 games. And these threads always end up with people arguing about which console is the best, even if that wasn't the intention.

The reason it seems that way is because Microsoft have a far better advertising strategy than Sony. They've made the Xbox brand synonymous with console gaming. The difference in sales isn't really as much as you would think.

I have never been one for sales figures, if something sells bad and I want it, I will still get it
