Hi all

A while back I had my ps3 stolen. When i brought a new one I made a new profile with a name I much prefer, but recently sony gave me back my origional stolen account (this one).

So now I have the two accounts. On the newer account I had downloaded alot of full games as I didnt expect to get the old one back.

They are both now sat on my new ps3 but the question I have is will I be able to use games downloaded on my new account with my older account? Stuff like Journey, Dues EX ect?

Id stick to the new acc because the name ismuch better but ofc Ive lost alot of trophie progression and time so Id rather wait on a name change and swap the names (please do it sony!!)

Anyway yer can that get me banned? All the personal info is the same so surley they know its just me using it?

I should imagine you'd be fine since its your own account and all. Maybe a mod can reply here?

I'm not a mod, however i can confirm that having a second account in this way is fine. Create a new user on your PS3 and add your old account. Activate the console on it and download all your old stuff

It's your account, the details are yours and the purchases are yours, therefore you're within the terms of use. Just don't go creating millions of pointless accounts, nor using them to circumvent a ban if you ever end up with one

Yeah it's fine, you're notjeopardizing your account information as you're technically sharing it with yourself!

Just have both accounts on your new PS3 and download said games onto it, as strangeplaice said.

would it be possible for sony to "merge" both accounts ?

phone customer service and they should have your details for both accounts. explain the situation and ask them nicely if they could transfer all the content into a single account then delete the old one.

you would most likely lose trphies on the account you chose to lose but at least all the paid content is ona single account.

As far as I'm aware, as long as both your accounts are registered to your current PS3, you should be fine.

Accounts are completely separate as it is supposed to be only one per user. Sorry. The suggestion I made earlier is the only workaround.

You are able to download the games and play them on another PS3 account yes It's like if a dad is the main buyer in the house of buying PSN games, and the kids accounts get to play them, that's fine.
