It's not unfair on anyone. They chose to break the rules.

And profits won't be affected as they weren't buying games in the first place, they were stealing them.

FYI, I've bought games once they've been released in store even though I've downloaded them.

This has got me thinking, is the whole RROD fiasco a timed virus as a ploy to make people buy a new xbox or maybe an un-affected elite which costs more?

lets face it - xbox breaks, your angry, you want a new xbox, you could get it fixed (this apparently qualifies as modding so gets you a ban) or you buy a new one, either way your being made to spend money on their product

If it was I doubt Microsoft would give you an extra 2 years on top of the warranty for RROD problems.
