How could I figure out the error "header.Version != 0x302e3930"?

Hello:

I work on SDK version 0.99 using Blender to edit my model. This problem occur when I using BasicModel lib to load mdx model file. I try to export fbx, dae and x file and convert them using ModelConverter, but I still don't konw how to fix this error?

I know someone have posted the same problem, but I still confused with the reply.

Thanks!

Are you sure you've updated all of your old models using the latest version of the ModelConvertor? It was changed in 0.99 and the latest SDK will no longer load in models that were converted using the older ModelConvertor.

Yes,I'm sure. It is the ModelConverter ver 0.99 that I use.

Can you show us the line of code you're using to load your model where the exception occurs?

In fact, I'm learning game programming using RpgDemo of PSM. I just add some piece of my code to load my model and see what happen.

Can you try your model with the BasicModel example solution that's shipped with the SDK in the 'model' directory?

Also, what do you get if you drop your compiled model on to the new ModelViewer app that's in the same directory as the ModelConvertor?

After I upgraded my PSS to PSM, the BasicModel example can't perform properly. It display nothing but I don't know why? I choose using BasicModel lib mainly because I can see the source code.

Well I know why you can't see the models in the BasicModel example, there is a known issue with the 0.99 SDK and AMD/ATI based machines, though I'm still unclear as to what your problem is with the exception when you load your own models. Do you see your models render correctly if you drop them on to ModelViewer.exe in the same directory as the ModelConvertor.exe ?

Hi:

=D, just to clarify let me ask something that probalby obvious, Did you already test your models on v98 and vorked perfectly and now when you switched to v99 they were wrong? If so can you give me the compiled version of the shaders? (one for v98 version and one for the v99). Just thinking you can compare the both (use beyond compare or winmarge or eny other file comparator) and see whats the different and let the Dev team another record of the problem. If the answer is now you started with v99 did you follow the Blender PSM model tutorial found in the forum?

Cheers.
