No Network Library?

Looking through the documentation, but I don't see any network library.  Is this something that is coming later and just not available in the beta?  Seems like a glaring omission.

Hey!  It is said that networking is coming later.  For now, you can use System.Net or version 0.2 (will be released soon) of my library, The Suite Pack.  What would you be using networking for?  Your answer will help me a lot with 0.2 of the SuitePack.  Thanks and kudo my post!

Kudos is grayed out for some odd reason.  Thanks for pointing out the system.net, that may do the trick.  I was looking at the feasibility of creating an OnLive-type client for streaming PC games to the vita.

Hoping for more robust network support myself. I tried hacking together a simple internet audio streaming app, but the Vita's native functions aren't very happy with me for trying to open a URL as a file. I should have known it wouldn't be that simple... but I hoped maybe they'd made that easy on us.

I think that using System.Net you can do almost anything. Just remember that Simulator have problems with supporting this. Debug at device to test it.

Lidgren is a .NET networking library that we have used as part of the MonoGame project.

I have it compiling with PSS now. If you are interested in having alook, jump over to githum.com/CartBlanche/MonoGame and take a look in the develop3d branch under the ThirdParty directory.

Nice, I would highly recommend all you guys look in to this. I've used Lidgren before with XNA and it's pretty easy and straightforward to use. I'd definitely recommend it for PSS as it abstracts most of the common networking you're going to want to carry out.

Martin and anyone else interested. The initial port of MonoGame to PSSuite SDK is now merged into the main repo at https://github.com/mono/MonoGame, so any further changes to Lidgren ( which does NOT need MonoGame to work ), can be grabbed from that ThirdParty directory.
