Is it possible that Suite butchered the USB port?
Whenever I connect the USB cable the touchscreen stops working, it doesn't respond anymore.
Or if it does only to a fraction of inputs seconds later at the wrong place.
The PC still recognizes the Vita but I can't do much after I connect the USB cable.
Can't start the content manager or Suite Dev App, let alone navigate the menu properly.
I've found a video which showcases the issue, not mine btw:
It doesn't matter if I connect it to PC or PS3 the touchscreen won't take input any more.
It even shows this behaviour when I let it charge!?
As in the video once I unplug the cable the touchscreen works fine again as if nothing ever happened?!
If I start the suite dev app beforehand I can deploy my apps but they are sluggish as hell, if I unplug the cable it's fine.
Apart from Suite I haven't used my Vita much since launch so there must be some correlation.
I already formatted everything I could multiple times, rebuilt the database and even re-installed the firmware via the recovery menu but to no avail ![]()

// Somewhat off topic...
OK, who at Sony thought making the USB cable on the Vita capable of being plugged in upside down? Seriously? For real?

Mmm, although somewhat off-topic I aggree.
I have struggled some time with this same problem of having it upside down (without noticing it) and wondering why my apps did not install....
Seems to be a very basic design requirement that this should not be possible at all ![]()
