Programming Education.

Hi all,

I`m a programming noob but have already learned the basics of JavaScript and have been studying C# for use with Unity 3D in preperation for Ps Suite`s release. I am determined to work with the Vita till I get something simple of my very own running, and I know that could take the rest of the year. However I was hoping for some timely advice. Should I sticky with Unity 3D and C# until I`ve learnt all I can? Is there better alternatives to game programming education more PS Suite friendly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck to everyone helping to forge unique and compelling experiences on the Vita.

Re: Programming Education.

Welcome! Considering programming in the PS Suite is with C#, that's what you'd want to focus on learning for this purpose :smileyhappy:

I think C# is super easy to learn. It has such a logical and consistent design.

Re: Programming Education.

Thanks so much for the straight-up replies. As I`m still wading my way through all the terminology and references it`s tricky to nail down the basics sometimes. I can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel though. I can`t wait to have more educated discussions with you all.

Cheers again,

Jadehope. (^_^)

Re: Programming Education.

Im creating a wiki for playstation suite with the intent that people can use it as a starting point to learning how to develop games. As in im going to literally take each concept of the classes and fully describe them out for someone like you to the best of my abilities and hope other people will join in my quest to accomplish this.

Re: Programming Education.

That would be awesome Rogerdodger.

Simplified terminology would be really welcomed. I look forward to checking it out.

Please post the link here when it`s available.

Re: Programming Education.

1) Kick away Unity3D

2) Get C# Book

3) Look to examples

And in 1-2 month you will have enough knowledge to make good games.

Re: Programming Education.

Hey, iam learning c sharp atm and i got some tips for you, check this out- very nice tutorials and easy to learn.

http://rbwhitaker.wikidot.com/xna-tutorials

http://www.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/sv_videonav.php?rec=xna

These are both for programming in xna but they both go deep into learning c sharp.

I found 3d buzz videos to be very easy to understand and a great start.
