I had seen Sony very slow at executing the newer version of Android every time. For example Tablet S still stuck at Honeycomb when there is already Ice Cream Sandwich.

I think sony would have to put a little more effort into the Vita's OS for it to be suitable for their other devices. Maybe one day we'll see this happen but some things would certainly have to be more centralised and little flaws would have to be fixed to make the OS a good alternative to something like iOS or Android.

If the PS store gets filled with enough quality applications/games that are compatible with this OS and if it becomes more streamlined to fix certain issues that people have  (e.g. not being able to simply click the notifaction screen while on an app) then maybe this OS could power future Sony devices. With that said an operating systsem alone still isn't enough to sell a device to the masses and the quality of the devices Sony create with this OS would have to be up to par/above other devices on the market  in terms of hardware.
