I never understood why anyone would want to cut halfway through a game... I like copy protection as it brings a sense of acheivement. Either that or its just me

I'm not going to cheat and get a save data file off the Internet. All I want to do is back up my saved data and copy it to my other PS3 when I go to my dads. When games are copy protected, I can't play them at my dads, so I can only play it half the time. So what if people cheat, it's there choice, they just spoil it for themselves.

To be fair thats not a bad point... I never thought of that. Why dont they link the email addresses to your save data so only the one who has achieved it can unlock it???

Yea I'm glad for this. I have 2 PS3's at the moment (1 I share with bro at home 1 for myself at uni). When I come home (every wknd normally) I start new games on my home ps3 as its gt a HD tv hooked up to it. But then when I go back to my digs at uni, I can't carry on the game on my Ps3 there as its copy protected. Had to restart Heavy Rain due to this, i was so annoyed!

B - Careful
This happend to me on Bioshock 2. I made a copy of my save then created a new user, it then said this save does not correspond to the right user. I tried to rename my user but no luck.
It's good to hear that this is ok in GOW! cos im getting it 2day!

Got a question along a similar track: In the previous versions of GOW, one could play through the game, save it, then play through it again and save it in a different location on the card. That was great for those of us who like to play it through at each difficulty level.
But in GOW III, the game doesn't seem to offer that option. Having muddled through God level, I'm ready for the next difficulty level, but I don't want to overwrite my other accomplishment. (I don't much care for the whole trophy thing so it's not a concern for me.) Is there anyway that I can tell the PS3 to save the new game to a new location?

You can have as many saves for GOW3 as you like. Ive done all difficulty levels bar Chaos and still have about 15 diff saves on the system, from all difficulty levels
