The guy who was interviewed by OPM was asked about the possibility of a sequel to GOW 3. He rather laughingly replied "There's no-one left to kill."
However what if Kratos takes his fight to the Roman world of mythology? A whole new world, a whole new set of deities and since the Greeks came before the Romans, the new gods could have 'took over' from the Greek gods (seen as most of them died) removing the problem of How can there be two sets of deities at the same time?
There are also still gods that haven't even been touched upon in the Greek world as well. Gods like Apollo, Artemis, Demeter, Dionysus and Hestia. There are also countless other Titans and primordial deities that Kratos hasn't encountered (and eventually killed).

Yh that or they make a whole new project without Kratos. The people behind GTA are making Red Dea Redemption so it could be a similar thing [not to say that the GTA series is ever going to end of course].However it could very well have a Roman Element to it like with the website they give when you receive a platinum could soon be revealed as there next project.

I think the teaser site is related to either DLC or a new PSP game which will tie up the loose ends from GOW3.
I'm not sure if Roman Gods would work, technically weren't they the same as the Greek Gods - only called by different names?!?
When they make GOW4, I'd like to see it maintain the same gameplay and design but feature new characters and also be based upon a different culture's mythology/folklore.
Like Norse, or Egyptian, Celtic, Aztec/Mayan, or Asain/Oriental mythology, each has a variety of deities, tales and creatures.
I think a change of setting would be a good thing, it would keep the franchise going and keep things fresh and interesting for both the fans and the developers.

I second what a previous poster wrote in regards to Roman mythology being derived from the Greeks. I'd love an Egyptian flavour but I can't see it being that intense. They would definitely have to go via Norse Mythology instead. Imagine going toe-to-toe with Thor or Odin. Epic. Just reaching Valhalla alone would be instant awesome.

Well considering that Kratos kills himself at the end of GOW3, i don't think there's gonna be another. even though it would be cool to see Kratos kick ***** again on the Ps3, i still don't think it's gonna happen. Personally i wouldn't want another God of War because they wrapped up the story pretty well. Unless Santa Monica Studios went the Uncharted route and just created new adventures for Kratos instead of just one sole purpose and then just having continuations for the game, they could make another God of War.
