Re: Where are the choices?

God of War isn't for everyone man. There are some critically acclaimed games out there which just don't do it for me, because it's not the game genre I enjoy. No one's gonna hate on you for not liking the game, but just remember that there are still lots of people that enjoy it.

If you're finding that you can get through everyone with one move, then turn the difficulty up a bit. Unfortunately that's the case with a lot of hash 'n slash games.

I'm assuming from your perception of Kratos that you've never played a God of War game before. That's fine, but just because you didn't enjoy this demo, it doesn't mean that the game is an anticlimax to other fans.

Re: Where are the choices?

Nope. Camera is fixed. The deal is: If you cannot notice the camera, then the devs did a good job. The right ang stick is for dodging.

Re: Where are the choices?

Wow why are you all jumping on this guy and calling him and xbox fan?

The levels are linear and there is a lack of choice. But i still like it, he doesn't have to and he's allowed to voice his opinion too. Although the ripping the heads off is the draw of the game so i don't know what you expected with that. lol

Re: Where are the choices?

It is what it is... a newer entry in the GOW franchise... the camera is fixed because that is the GOW way. The right stick for dodge is the GOW way. Gory moves to kill your enemy is the GOW way..

GOW isn't my favourite franchise, nor is GOW3 my most anticipated game this year, nor am I the sort of person who has been talking it up for a couple of years or considered buying a PS3 just for it... but it has a style of it's own, and a style I will gladly accomodate a few hours of my time towards.

Oh, and you won't get through the actual game on the Normal difficulty or higher just by pressing the triangle... and the 'big glove' things you probably won't get until 1/2-3/4 through the story.

Re: Where are the choices?

I actually prefer the linearity of the game - makes a change to the constant free-world games which can sometimes be boring

The developers have made it linear on purpose and they know that the path they choose for you to do will be better than if you can choose where to go

and as for the camera I like it and I'd rather use the right analogue for rolling than turning the camera. The camera never gets in the way and it's useful for the developers to hide chests. But I always find them

Firstly, questioning the sexual orientation of any one who disagrees with you is the trademark of someone who has a paper-thin argument.

Now, for your actual points.

1. Yes, they're linear. Games are usually linear so the makers can guide the player on a journey, rather then have them wondering about a landscape. Some people like this, others don't, but it's not a universaly bad point.

2. Well, mashing Triangle was your choice. If everything dies too easily, you can turn up the difficulty.

3. See my above responce about the makers guiding the players. But you are correct about Kratos being a 'selfish, sociopathic d**k'. I don't let that get in the way of my enjoyment, but if that gets to you then whatever.

I don't think you're an X-Bot, but you should have really known what to expect before playing this, and there just wasn't much point to you posting this.
