Polyphony should provide a download of a car for Gran Turismo 5 with stickers in victim's memory of japanese tragedy. All the money (2,50 or 5 euros for the car) raised will be used by organizations such as the Japanese Red Cross.

Indeed, everything should go to the Japanese Red Cross or other organizations helping japanese people.

That is a very good idea along with the ¥300m Sony is giving to rescue/aid efforts. This would be a great way for gamers to make a contribution while safe in the knowledge that the revenue raised would go to the appropriate aid agencies.
Make it happen Sony!

That's a very good idea, one i would most definately take part in.
Also doing something like selling a red cross t shirt in home or something like that would help.
For those going through what mosr of us couldn't comprehend, every penny will help. Anyone interested in giving please look at the following links. . .

Hey guys,
The problem with this is that PD would need to develop it.
PD are based in Japan.
Japan is currently struggling with basic things such as power, food and water, so I'm not sure if they have the resource to develop this right now.
However, rest assured that PlayStation is working on a charitible product for sale on the PlayStation Store. I cant share details yet, as soon as I learn more I'll let you know.
Thanks for your concerns, its very heart warming.

I very much appreciate that anything like this simply won't happen any time soon, For the reasons you say MB. Even if it was something that PD released in a few months from now I for one would still show my support. Current events in Japan will take a long time and a lot of support to get them back to anywhere near normality, so possibly it would be a good thing if it happened a little while from now.
I'm very pleased to hear that playstation has plans to do something, outside of sony's donation, it's a nice touch which gets a massive
from me.
