Another B-Spec Thread

[ Edited ]

I'm struggling to get across exactly how much I detest the whole B-Spec part of this game.

I'm currently watching my complete imbecile of a B-Spec driver fail miserably on nearly every corner on the Côte d'Azur track which is part of the new Seasonal Event that have been released today.

I really do hope that Polyphony get their heads from up their arses and put down the crack pipe so they can realise just how epically ***** B-Spec is and abolish all aspect of it in GT6. I'm sure that even when the developers themselves are watching their own B-Spec drivers fail at the most simplest of corners or overtakes they must think to themselves "this ***** needs to go."

For ***** sake, PD. No one, ever, in the history of these or any GT boards ever, have had anything but bad things to say about B-Spec so please, please get rid of it.

Anyway, time to go and hurl some more abuse at Mr. H. Wojcik for placing 11th because he can't corner for *****.

Beat monaco event on 3rd go as my driver was cool status. Not Hot paced set up the car for UNDER STEER instead of tail happy as normal for monaco,  low top speed again as normal 140MPH.

The other AI rammed him off with the GT5 copy righted Michael Schumacher manoeuvre (pick the racing line and bash into any one else that might want it ) in the first 2 races.

(There is no way to avoid that.)

Never touched the controlls to controll pace.

Re: Another B-Spec Thread

Why get rid of B-Spec? If you don't like it, don't play it. It isn't compulsory.

I had got more than half way through my A-Spec challenges before I even bothered looking at B-Spec. But once I realised that I could use B-Spec to help the progress of my A-Spec then I started to use it more. Now I use it all the time. And I often use my B-Spec drivers, call them Bobs if you like, to run in my cars. So they come in handy for that.

I did the Monaco B-Spec challenge with my BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97

It took me three attempts, using a Bob on Lvl 40. The first race he came second, against another F1 GTR Race Car. He closed on that car by the start of lap 5 but just couldn't make the overtakes stick due to hitting the barriers.

In the second race he came second again, but I had played with the set-up of the car and made a mess of it and it he didn't catch up to the Ford GT until the last lap.

In the third race I went back to a previous settings sheet and this time he had closed on the Ford GT by lap 6 and was able to pass and make it stick this time.

Was it worth it? Not sure... perhaps I'm just addicted, but I still think that B-Spec should stay.

Snap. Why use any thing else. The Other AI likes it. With setup changes your doing laps 5-10 secs quicker.

Than PS3 Ai.

Re: Another B-Spec Thread

I think b-spec's like marmite, personally if it wasn't in gt6 i wouldn't miss it
Most of the seasonal b-spec's have been boring for me, put bob (lvl40) in a good car set it off and leave him to win.

But at monaco you'd think he's never driven a car. put him in the zonda lm car and set him off, crash bang wollop he hit anything and everything.
Restarted first two attempts, on third attempt caught up to the ford gt on last lap but couldnt get past.
on the fourth attempt with input from me all the way through we caught the ford gt with 4 laps to go but still couldnt get past.
Then on the last lap we caught a back marker where my bob did a do or die move up the inside of the ford gt and the back marker, at this point i thought here we go again into the barrier but no he made it stick and we were through and on to win.

This is the best b-spec race ive had to do but like i say if it wasn't in gt6 i wouldn't miss it.

Hmmm, simple solution.

Don't like it ... don't play it.

Beg to differ.

Clearly you haven't read my posts.

BTW, last years GT Academy was all about B-Spec.

And it was a massively participated event.

Re: Another B-Spec Thread

i think most of it with b spec is down to the tuning and and thelevel of your bob i got 1st in all 3 events first time all with the driver running on hot. having my usb keyboard in and the enter key wedged down helped me a lot as well

Why would I buy a game and not play through B-Spec mode when it is probably 30 to 40% of the game?

Sorry I haven't gone back and read through all of your posts. Believe it or not I don't have time and I'm not all that bothered. Maybe my post should have read "No one, ever, in the history of these or any GT boards, as far as I have seen, have ever had anyting but bad things to say about B-Spec."

GT Academy is essentially a free to enter competition so obviously there was going to be a phenominal amount of people participating in the event, why wouldn't they? The same can be said for the event to win the SLS AMG when GT5 was first released. That was a B-Spec only event and there was a huge number of people taking part in that event too. Just because millions of people grin and beared the B-Spec event doesn't mean B-Spec isn't naff.

Mate, It's simply a case of each to their own.

You are more than welcome to put forward your opinion.

But as I say ... don't like it , don't play it.

"30 to 40% of the game" ... who said that?

Disregarding online, and even that is debatable when considering B Spec remote, personally I would put it at precisely 50%.

Clearly PD think it's a worthy part of GT5.

Some have even Platinumed this game and yet have not finished all A Spec events.

Guess what, courtesy of B Spec.

Couldn't care whether you've read my posts or not, simply stating your view isn't universal.

Couldn't care whether you have 'time' or not.

I enjoy B Spec, I enjoy the challenge to win a SLS AMG.

To be perfectly honest, it was great fun and a great challenge.

Not interested? .. then forget it.

More people 'grin and bear it' when they spend real money to buy lotto tickets every single week.

So NO, B Spec isn't 'Naf', and clearly PD, you know, the company that make this game, don't think so either.

BTW, regarding your OP, my B Spec drivers seem to handle Cote d'Azur perfectly well with no issues.

Perhaps you simply don't have the skill to prepare cars and drivers to handle this track.

Maybe more practise on your part is needed.

Either that, or maybe you can just blame the game and have a whinge.
