So i put the shifter into H mode and not sequential,
I START the race(press X)
THEN press triangle (will there be any confirmation?)
then look for the "N" on the hud.....
will try and let you know how it goes....thanks for the input....
P.S IF the clutch is activated will it let me change gear without pressing it down?Obviously in real life this is a big no-no but i'm interested to know the consequences of this and the limitations of the game....thanks again everyone

If you switch the clutch on, and then try and change gear without using it, the car will go in to neutral and you will 'miss a shift'.

And no, unfortunately there's no confirmation when you switch the clutch on. What you are doing seems right. have you tried going into the options and making sure that the wheel you have selected is the Driving Force Pro? If it is already selected, then I'm not too sure it's possible to use the clutch in GTHD.

Mate you can download GT:HD again, to your new console. If you are using your PSN account from before, go to your download list (top right of the screen) and scroll down to find the GT:HD download.

We didn't get the demo here, so I think I have to figure out how to resign into the Japanese account.

AH.....So i need to select DRIVING FORCE PRO as the wheel. Are there any other settings i need to "tweak" to get the G25 doing what it should??
I did look at the different settings, but as the G25 wasn't on the list i didn't choose anything(either that or i chose the EX wheel)
OK.....going to play it now with that setting and see what happens.
Thanks

EDIT: seems you can't select the wheel type in GT:HD you can only adjust the buttons for specific wheels, also tried again with the triangle button for activating the clutch.....didn't work(no "N" on the hud at any time and if i press triangle after the race starts i get reverse)....
can still only get sequential and paddles (no clutch needed)
I've come to the conclusion the GT:HD is very limited in the control section and you can't use the clutch OR 6 spped gear shifter....
Thanks anyway for your advice and thoughts...
GT5: Prologue here i come!

Re: Any G25/GT experts out there?

OK...GT5: Prologue is on order.....Thanks to everyone for helping me out....
Any tips for setting up the G25 to work with the game properly?
Do i need to configure the wheel using the PC program or adjust settings in GT5: Prologue itself?....What settings do i adjust...?
I want the whole/full simulation experience...gears,clutch ,everything....
I want to use the G25 to it's maximum capability....
Maybe i'm jumping in at the deep end??
Any advice would be most welcomed and thanks for your perseverance

I am suprised no body could answer this, but I can.

No.. the G25 doesn't utilise the clutch/6 speed gear shifter in GTHD demo, nor does the clutch work in the GT5P demo (although the H pattern does).

As mentioned the Clutch and H pattern does work in GT5P (full not demo), have the dial rotated to H pattern then when you gain control of the car in race (after start) press triangle (top button) once to enable the clutch and again to disable the clutch.

Enjoy.

Thanks for setting us straight, VIPERGTS01, and welcome to the GT forum.

Unfortunately, the info I found must have been incorrect and I had no way to confirm it here.

Oh I've thought of something else i'd like to add....
Can anyone recommend me a game thats either been released or is coming out in the near future(other than GT5)...That makes good use of the G25 capabilities?
I've seen an outdated compatiblity list but i'm sure there should be a few more on there....thanks and sorry for being a P.I.T.A

Re: Any G25/GT experts out there?

I haven't tested the new G25 with Supercar Challenge yet, but it is making reasonable use of it, so far, based on comments from others.

I am going to miss their test today, too, so maybe I can check it over the next week, at some point.

Regardless, consider getting this title anyway.
