Re: Bring Back Grid Starts!

I've just tested my theory, and I guess the answer was obvious.

Yes, you can go into your own loung and set up a session to emulate the TGTT timed single lap.

I'm sure this must have been done before?

Only issue is that you have to be online to do this, which may not suit some users

Re: Bring Back Grid Starts!

yes! bring back the grid starts for all races (except oval tracks and certain challenges! and also can we start at the back of the grid on all races? its great to have more AI but whats the point if you're in the mid feild and lastly can you maybe see about a more difficult AI option? still too easy. thats all

Re: Bring Back Grid Starts!

A lot of races in GT5 would be a lot better with tougher AI, grid starts and qualifying sessions. Always starting from the back is annoying.

Re: Bring Back Grid Starts!

I'm up for this.

Grid starts but greater restrictions on cars and tyres so that its not too easy.

Oh and proper quali laps to get grid position with option for reversed grids.

Re: Bring Back Grid Starts!

Another thing that would be cool would be the ability to pick the cars we race against in Arcade Mode, have 16 car grids and qualifying sessions.

Exactly this!

I would like to see the return of qaulifying from previous GT games (GT3 i think??) and grid starts but only if the AI is improved to a higher more aggressive standard. It would be far more fun and challenging to fight for a good grid slot and then to fight to hold it or improve it in the race against tough competative AI cars.

Of course the freedom to tune and tyre choice would have to be restricted also to keep the performance of the cars similar.

As things stand it really is way too easy even on arcade mode with the AI set to maximum aggressiveness with the same car and tyres as the AI you can win easily and by a great distance.

I like doing one make races in practice mode to get closer races with the AI but no XP (dont need anymore now) or cash for this which is lame.

I would like to see GT go in this direction for the next game by makeing it harder to win races not just make it a grind to keep winning same races over and over to rank up.
