Gran Turismo

I've been busy today, and I've only just got round to playing Gran Turismo. I tried to log in to PSN, on my PS3, and I got the following error code 8071053D.

I've tried a few things. Reset the local router. Bypassed the local router. Reset the ADSL router. But I'm still getting the same error.

I've tested the internet connection on the PS3, and all is well, and the web browser works.

I thought I'd try to log into PSN "My Home" again.

I don't even get the chance to log in. The little square login window now shows the following

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /external/index.vm.

Reason: DNS lookup failure for: lvp-p2-npnavpct01.sonynei.net

Is there something going on with the PSN network?

Is anyone else able to log in today?

yep its currently down for a few users. It will be account Specific as well. 

Expect they tryed to add some thing to account details and the update had not filltered to all users yet.

I can't sign into it either it said to go to my network settings and i went to the internet connection test but the IP address failed. How can I fix this?

Had this 1053D error as well. Tried it again on Sunday and was successful

  Just had a hell of a time trying to log in, yet again, and went to the official main page to see what was up (if anything), clicked on Europe and - the page loaded upside down

Re-booted the PC and now I'm back in

I had somewhat the same thing happen to me,

.Playstation 3 could not find the ip.

Now it works like a charm. Had all kinds or error,s mesg. And then i changed the way my router gets the ip.  Easy to do..

Solved..In my wifi router  i changed to the static ip...Then changed the dns to use dns servers..

Hope that little tid bit helps...

We pretty well have to use DNS servers, nowadays, so the question boils down to whose servers to use - your ISP's or someone else's.

For various reasons, including reliability and added protection, I always recommend openDNS. This can be done with individual devises (such as a PS3) independent of all others, or you can set up the router to have everything use a specific service. I prefer the latter way.
