Will GT5 have clans or 'race teams' for friends.  Like in most online games where you can make clans/teams for you and your friends.  I wouldnt mind being a clan leader on GT5 id call my clan/team the 'G27 club' or something like that lol you get what I mean lol.

With passworded rooms and a proper set of host controls, etc., we should have the complete ability to do whatever we want to do or can think up, whether they are part of GT5 or not. It is already being done with Prologue, with a few wrinkles.

People need to be reminded that Prologue is a great product that allowed so much to be done, and done well, even if it had a few annoyances or problems. Anyone who stuck with Prologue knows that GT5 will be the cat's meow.

Players had been crying for GT to be on-line, but when they got it, most just abandoned it because it wasn't "normal" or "perfect". To me, that was a huge mistake.

So how do the clans work on GT5P?  Ive noticed alot of people have remade their psn names and made them the same, like 'GTDrivers_xxxxx' or 'GTP_UK_xxxx'.  It's sort of a clan but when i said about GT5 having clans I meant can we create clans and people join them (without having to make a new psn id).  Im hoping to meet some new guys on GT5 who will make a GT5 clan with me.  My name is GT5_FastNFurious so other people could make similar id's such as GT5_dave or GT5_Speedboi etc etc but is this necessary?  Wont I be able to make a clan name such as (for example) 'GT5_G27Club' and anyone can join regardless of their psn name?

You're saying, you want to create a clan group on the GT5 online mode itself? Well probably, as there will be private rooms, which I'm sure you can create a title name for. 'G27 Club Racing' will do for your 'clans' private room, or even public room if that's possible.

The best way to get a proper clan or team thing going, is to have somewhere on the internet to chat and organise. If you don't have the experience to create your own website, then something like a Facebook group or something simular would do, as a place to meet and organise. Even better, if you want to be totally PS3 based, you could meet up on Home or even buy a Club Room there

This all depends on how much is packed into GT5s online at the end of the day.

Clans can simply name a room with the clan's ID, to collect members for races and to advertise their activites. Players don't have to add tags to their IDs, unless they want to do that.

Otherwise, PD hasn't said much about the new "community" features yet, but we expect, and there have been hints of, quite a robust on-line mode.
