Cockpits made from PVC piping

izfsk.jpegd3wbm.jpegI found these cockpits on some forums the other day, but can't remember what forums now.

Anyway after reading through the whole thread there was numerous questions about the strength,

"creaking" noises and the frame flexing etc etc, and apparently they are very sturdy, next to no flexing

and there are no "creaking" noises, plus all cables can be hidden inside the piping.08s5m.jpeg

They are made from 50mm PVC piping, 90 and 45 deg joiners and T joiners, all glued together with that blue PVC piping glue (one has rivets also) and a coat of paint...................all up no more than $150 for materials, which you can get from Bunnings or plumbing supply shops.

Not a bad alternative to metal, and certainly allot lighter...........pretty ingenious really :smileyhappy:

Whats everyone elses thoughts ??
