Re: Dissatisfaction

Again, why should I care about that great big wall of text there? my sarcasm and advice? I've never tried to convince anyone to play GT over something else. You do realise that you have just become the thing you hate the most. An annoying little fanboy. You spent most of that attacking me personally and making little rational arguements.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but u can spout your opinion around all you like, doesn't change the fact it's yours. It's unbelieveable you expect people to just grin and bear it when your being such a ***** about it too.

When you say "real sim sites" I don't even know what the hell you mean, I'm thinking a lot of people won't either. GT doesn't "feel" real to you, that's fine, but by definition that's a subjective conclusion. I find GT very much satisfyingly real and am looking forward to the steps forward in GT5.

And yes I did read your first post. Now please, *****

Re: Dissatisfaction

@Fool,

You forgot one very important acronym in your post there. Said acronym is 'IMO'. Just because you're a pissy Xbox fanboy, doesn't mean a game can't be good. Constant dirtbagging of a game isn't winning you any friends. In fact, I think the only thing you're good for here is to laugh at.

@Bounce,

You want PD to improve the game? ***** off the fans here isn't going to do anything about it.

Re: Dissatisfaction

@ Bounce,

you have stated your opinion, thats great, gtr is also allowed to have his, please accept that and stop contantly posting walls of text that aren't necessary, i highly doubt polyphony will read this and change a virtually completed game due to the dissatisfaction of a small minority, so i suggest going back and playing GTR2

@ fool,

i believe there was only standard physics in gt4? so of course its not going to handle the exact same as a normal car, and the pro physics engine between gt5 prologue and the gt academy demo has been completely re-done, so unless u can say you have driven a tuned 370z or stock 370z with no driving aids on around the Indianapolis road course, you can't really say that they have got it wrong until the full game comes out

Re: Dissatisfaction

Unless you're a real racing driver, don't try say that it doesn't handle like a real car does.

If you find it too hard, go play something else. Easy enough.

lol at sidawg2.

you dont need to be a professional racing car driver to know how these cars should handle.

If you're going to be pushing your car to the limits, like you would in GT, then you would at least need to be a good amatuer race driver with access to a good quality race track. Trying to go too fast on the roads is plain stupid.

Re: Dissatisfaction

[ Edited ]

Lol, these arguments are pointless :smileytongue: The game is basically done (as Wildheart stated above) and they arent going to go and rewrite it for anyone. I dont really like the Timetrial demo but you dont hear me badmouthing the entire game, Sure the demo has slightly tarnished the expectations i had for GT5 but it doesnt necessarily mean its a bad game just cos i dont like it.

On the other side of the argument, just because someone says its the best racing game ever also does not make it so, everyone has their own opinions as to what style of racer is best, i myself prefer the more arcade style presented in games like the Ridge Racer, NFS and Motorstorm series, whereas someone else may think those games are rubbish and prefer the more realistic racers like GT.

Re: Dissatisfaction

O.K., a lot of people are pointing out that the game is pretty much done.

This may very well be true, but if so - where is the bloody thing???

I don't know about any of you but I'm getting pretty sick and tired of hearing release dates announced

and then cancelled. Really over it!!

I'm going to get called negative etc... by a lot of you, I know, but I tell you - interest levels are falling fast.

As far as realism goes, I've been involved in racing and rallying for over 20 years now - driving, officiating

and of course spectating and I've never in my life played a driving game that handled completely

accurately. GT is more enjoyable than most though.

May I suggest that you find something to distract you, and then start following GT again once a concrete date is announced? GT is likely to get released this year though. Things do seem to be nearing the centre of an imaginary whirlpool of awesome...

Re: Dissatisfaction

@ MonaroNo1

Just to point out, this thread, and a lot of its discussion was end of last year/early this year, when there was a Japanese release date of March2010, so any discussion about the game being 'nearly done' would have been based off that release date before they delayed it.

Also, as far as I'm aware, that was the only date that PD have ever had officially announced, and that date didn't include PAL regions (Europe/Aus/NZ) so,  technically, its never once been delayed from an official release date for Australia/NZ.  They are, however, expected to announce a release date and more details at E3 in June.
