Do you think your GT5 DLC should carry over to GT6?

For me I don't think I'll be buying any more DLC until i know that all of my GT5 DLC will carry over to GT6.

As for your cars, credits, parts, paints and racing suits etc.. they should also carry over as well, I'd be seriously annoyed to find that ALL those hours I have put into GT5 to build all of that up is just gone, in fact, that may actually put me off buying GT6. I can't be bothered to start fresh every time and certainly not like that.

Won't Be carried over.

cars and makes will be ditched.scrapped, binned.

Licenses will not be renewed.

You will Have to PAY more for The Remodel of every thing.

The X2014 from Honda will make the x2011 from Nissan suck...

Be nice if they did, wouldn't it? But think about what you're saying. All GT6 would be is a blank canvas with a few cars and, hopefully, a lot of additional tracks. But, then, what about the players that are new to Gran Turismo when GT6 is finally released. They wouldn't have any cars, credits, paints and racing suits etc.. so where would that leave them? Or, are you saying that you want to almost do nothing to get any future enjoyment from any new release in the series and that you want everything on a plate? No, of course you aren't so, if you can't let go of what you currently have, why don't you just continue with what you've got in GT5.  You can still enjoy GT5 as well as enjoy any future release as a separate game. I still play GT5 prologue now and then. Sometimes I even fire up the PS2 and revisit GT3 & GT4. (I see that GT1 & GT2 are a bit hard on the eyes using a 42" flat-screen so they're both consigned to the past )

You need to learn to let go of some things in life and, eventually,  you'll find you'll be happier for it.  :smileyhappy:

Yeah i get what you're saying, but it's the same as a lot of the older cars we have in the game now then, yet we still have plenty of them. If they dont fit on the disc I'm happy to make space on my HDD for them!

They wouldn't have any cars, credits, paints and racing suits etc.. so where would that leave them? Same kinda place i was when i first started out in GT5 and all GT's before that!, GT5 like all before have been a long journey, i dont want it be cut off to start totally fresh every time, I want my achievements and collection to carry on for once.

For me, i will get tons more enjoyment out of GT6 knowing that everything i earned and sweat lap after lap for getting gold etc, will actually go with me this time.

Hey, really, it's fine.  The whole point of asking the opinion of others is that you get to have yours too!  :smileytongue:

Re: Do you think your GT5 DLC should carry over to GT6?

It would be nice if everything carried over but since that rarely happens I'd be surprised if PD give us that option. I'm kind of expecting much of the DLC (well at least the tracks) to appear as standard content on the disc for GT6. They've done all the hard work with modelling etc now, so I'd be extremely disappointed if they were missing with PD intending to release them once again as DLC.

I don't mind starting over though. I have patience and willingness to invest time in a game to complete challenges and earn things over time, so building a car collection from scratch wouldn't be a problem for me.

I personally agree with this for example you wouldnt expect to automatically be 10th prestige on black ops 2 and have unlocked all the guns and perks etc when it comes out because you acheived it on black ops 1 would you? If so why buy the game just keep playing the old one?

Re: Do you think your GT5 DLC should carry over to GT6?

The DLC is new, hi-def content, so would you be satisfied it was all just included in GT6 anyway?

I imagine that it will, but it is just a guess.

Re: Do you think your GT5 DLC should carry over to GT6?

Personally I wouldn't want my 1180 cars 20,000,000cr and DLC bought carried over. It would make the game too easy and I wouldn't play it as much. However... I think they should put the tracks in the next GT. And if they were going to carry over data I wouldn't mind 50,000Cr and licences (I always gold them but find them boring)

Re: Do you think your GT5 DLC should carry over to GT6?

It would be nice if the cars and tracks which has been added as DLC to GT5, would be included automatically to GT6 and add completely new material as DLC for GT6.

As for game accomplishments, maybe some license tests could be carried over as was the case already from GT1 to GT2.
