As per the Chrome/Stealth cars that were part of the Signature pack on release. No they shouldnt be made available as they were part of the pre order bonuses that I and a lot of ther people who bought the signature edition paid a great deal of Money for.

This. It bothered me when PD mentioned they were going to give Nissan GTR GT500 Stealth away just because the GT Academy finished the North American competition. If I payed for Signature Edition I expected fully exclusive content. Not fair to give them away like that.

Now what I would like to see implmented as DLC  for cars in GT5 would be premium models of the Sauber Mercedes C9, R8 LMS Race Car (Team PlayStation) '09, Toyota Minolta, Bugatti Veyron and possible new versions of the the BugattiVeyron as well.  The Honda HSV and a couple of the old Ferraris like the 1980's Tesstarossa ( yeah then I can drive round Monaco listening to Crocketts theme!!!!) or a premium model of the Countach, Diablo etc etc.

A million times this! :smileyvery-happy:

We also need Miami City track and pastel coloured shirts with white blazer & stylish sunglasses for our avatars :smileyvery-happy:

'82 black Pontiac Trans-Am would be cool as well & black leather jacket for avatar, location for this would be purple tinted desert or dry lake listening Knight Rider theme :smileyvery-happy:

As there's already similar car to the Dukes of Hazzard and Back to the Future, why not add the Testarossa and 3rd generation Pontiac Trans-Am as well.

Re: Dying for the next GT5 Dlc already!

At the end of the day its really down to PD and Kaz what they do. But to be honest I seriously hope they dont release the Signature edition "EXCLUSIVES" as DLC.

As a post script to my post about the championship I would like to see. You could also have the exception to use DLC tracks such as Route X, Kart Space and Spa franco champs as well as the Game using DLC cars for the AI in Arcade /  career Races. Theres over 1000 cars to choose from and surely you could add the Aventador into the Super Car type races with the rest of the Lamobos etc etc.  Still its just me thinking aloud.

Re: Dying for the next GT5 Dlc already!

I am also in agreement with the guys who do not want the exclusives to be released as dlc as although i dont have the signature edition i do have collectors and the chrome line cars and would be annoyed if they just release it as dlc being as i payed alot more than people who only brought the standard game, i do think they should put the 2012 wrc cars in a DLC as it would be cool to race in a cooper rally spec and i also agree that somwhere down the line they should upgrade some cars to premium and they could do with adding some more up to date astons and definatly would be nice to see the ferrari 250 GTO in gt5

Re: Dying for the next GT5 Dlc already!

To be honnest I would have rather had to wait another year or so if it ment all cars being premium. Standard cars look soo bad and they didn't put the fastes hatchback you can buy today in the game, the 2008 focus rs, and they made the veyron standard... Iv bought every gran turismo and near enough finished them but I can seriously say I expected more considering thier previous titles were top of the range... Gran turismo has the most realistic handling but it ends there. The damage is poor and the graphics are standard. And i find it a rip off that they charged us for an exact premium version of the jag le man car, it should have been premium in the first place

Re: Dying for the next GT5 Dlc already!

To me, it's not looking like we'll see any more DLC... it's been months since the last release. Even the seasonals are getting  repetitive - like they are not putting any effort into them. The latest one (one lap time trial on the ring), the gold time has been beaten by over a minute and a half! I'm not a seriously skilled driver, but even I can pull over on the final straight, have a sandwich, pull back onto the track, and still beat the gold time. I've started seeing how low a PP car I can use and still win, or beat the time trial time.

Don't get me wrong - it's great that we're still getting (kinda) new content in the seasonals, but let's see some that are a bit more of a challenge -so they take more than 10 minutes to beat.

If they are planning more DLC, I'd much rather see tracks than cars. Getting SPA was the best DLC they produced IMHO.

Re: Dying for the next GT5 Dlc already!

Things have been "lean" lately as they have been preparing the GT Academy game which will be able to download from May 1st. DLC will come if there is any more to be done. If there is no more DLC then so be it.  Have to aggree the Seasonals are a tad boring now I occasionally do the tiem trials and dont bother with B-spec, and do A-spec when it comes up but I am happy running and tuning my cars up and earning money from them. Perhaps the 20 million cap should be removed say to 40 or 50 million.  But apart from that well we will have to wait and see what happens over the next few months.

I'm sure I read that the Academy is a stand alone product, that you dont need GT5 to do it. Also that it has content that will be transferable into GT5.
