Please for the love of god.. Update the sounds of all engines.. Make it a DLC or whatever. I would pay for it since i love this game but the sounds of the engines are so unreal it hurts

Which sound environment in GT5/Options are you using?

Apparently, PD is using something like 37 different sound notes, plus, if you change certain engine parts, you may not like the resulting sounds.

I mean that it could sound a bit more real.

Sounds in NFS Shift 2 are great but the gameplay sucks :-/

I am using Small Theater option since i'm playing with 5.1 in my home theater.

Don't get me wrong it's not making me wanne quit the game tho :-)

GT5 sounds are meant to be realistic aren't they?

Perhaps it turns out that you don't like the realism of the sounds and you would prefer them to be more fake and pleasing to the ear?

Or maybe it's cause you are driving a dodgy car.  I dunno.

There are limitations.

Certain cars, for example the GNX, have a very distinct exhaust note in real life, but it is not used in GT5. And as soon as you start changing certain exhaust parts on any car, the sound gets synthisised away from the original even more.

Try it. If you don't like the sound, your only course of action is to either not modify the car or persevere.

Also, the POV of your driving position makes a big difference, too, but I wouldn't suggest changing that just to get better sound.

I agree with OP, people have been demanding better engine sounds for a while, GT5 sounds are no where near as realistic as Forza for example.
