I'm sure I've seen a couple of girly names online, but that can't be right because everyone knows girls can't drive. :smileyindifferent:

Re: Female GT5P gamers out there

My wife used to be a GT3 gamer many years ago and was a serious addict. She spent 8 hours a day for 30 days straight playing GT3 before she realized how addictive it was and went completely cold turkey and is too afraid to pick up Gran Turismo again.

Apart from that I don't know any girl drivers, I'd love to see some online though. Would be a total blast!

No offense mummy1daddy, but are you a guy or a girl? I'm just curious is all, you come across as a great person but I would have assumed you were a guy until I read this thread and now I'm not sure. Hehe, you don't need to reply to that question if you don't want to!

:smileywink:

A girl I know used to play and absolutely loved it... it has to be said, and she would say it herself, that she wasn't very good.

She suffered from classic "Full Lock to Full Lock and Nothing in Between" syndrome.  This trait is not female exclusive btw, and this post is not intended to be sexist, I have seen many male players do the same.

Lol AERO_HDT, No I am not a girl, just wondered thats all, I basically met a girl playing Resistance, she kicked my ass most of the time, she was reallly good and I class myself as being pretty good with FPS Genre, funny thing was she lived in Ireland and and I lived 4 doors from her Auntie in Coventry, we met once and I took her round Coventry one night, abit weird as I am 32yrs old and she was 19yrs old, very pretty as well.(No we did`nt before you ask lol).

Re: Female GT5P gamers out there

I have been gaming since my Atari/Amstrad CPC years when I was about 9yrs old. My parents and ex-girlfriends have always been worried I game to much, but for me it has always been  an escape from the real world which we live in, I work hard for my pleasures, hi-end PC Rig and PS3 and I will always be a gamer as long as my fingers and wrists dont knacker up.  I still socialise with my friends in and out doors, there is nothing better than some GT5P time trials with friends at the weekend, my future wife will find me some how lol.

Same here started with a Atari console then went to the 800XL typing pages of code from magazines in to the thing just to make a little blob on the screen bounce up and down poping baloons.

I agree with you i`ll be a gamer for as long as i can. 32, four kids, full time job, good social life. I need the "ME" time too.

My miss`s dose get board of talking to the back of my head. She made me put a desk for the PC in the nook under the stairs as i was spending to much time out of the way of every one up stairs.

Re: Female GT5P gamers out there

So so true guys, I've been through 1 wife and 3 long term girlfriends.  I've played video games since I was 5 (on my Oric Atmos), Gaming will always be part of my life.  Unfortunately the women of my life have never understood that gaming is a hobby for some people - Apparently its ok to go and play a round of golf for four hours but to play games for four hours is just silly!!

At the end of the day It's just the same as people reading books or watching films, escapism.  Unfortunately gaming seems to come with a "Loser" tag attached to it.  things have changed and the introduction of the Wii has helped people understand somewhat.

Well I split with my girl over the weekend (my choice btw) and i feel very happy about it.  Freedom to do as you wish without judgement, bliss lol :smileyhappy:

Lol golf spoils a good walk, as fishing spoils a nice sit down at the lake.

When my mates come round on the way out to the pub all i want is 10 more minutes to finish of the round im in on BF2 but no i get the mick ripped out of me. Only to turn off the game go get my coat, come back and find one of them surfing ebay. Double standards!!!!!!

Ive been close to a glass of water over the PC during a heated ranting session by the miss`s thats the worst its got for me.

Chin up fellas you could end up meeting a girl whos into WOW then i guess the table would be turned.

I`m working on the kids with a carnt beat him join him. They all have a DS. and in the house we have a Wii, 2 laptops (1 gaming for when i work away) 2 PC`s  PSP and a PS3.  I not bragging just finaced to the max. credit crunch!!
