Maybe I missed something here, but I don't remember at anytime this being referred to as a GT5 demo... I thought it was GT Academy 2010?
hrugs:
You can't even play if offline... the whole point of it is to set lap times online for a competition, using Pro physics..

I am disappointed that to get a good time you need a steering wheel, however I realise this adds to the realism
They didn't make the wheel easier to use so that the game would be more realistic.
They make the game realistic and thus a wheel is easier to use, since y'know cars in real life are controlled by wheels and pedals.

Stuit, i normally get a good lol out of your posts, and you troll and bait better than anyone in teh history of teh interwebz- but your link to those pics was a terrible misjudgement. GT Academy looks better in every single way IMHO, bar the ripple strips- they look fantastic on Forza.
Forza pics look great aswell for the most part, i just think it's your opinion slanting your view- you prefer the darker shade of grass or something lolol. And the in car view is 10x better on GT- maybe the car in Forza has darkest legal window tinting or something, but it looks very drab to me.

well I did prefer the darker look of the forza pics but I've been playing a lot of HL2 lately so I'm used to the slightly drab (but still extremely realistic) look of the source engine

was at harvey normans today and they had forza 3 playable on one of their Xboxs and at fist glans it looks great but after playing it well every thing was montoned and the damages wasn't even just cosmadic it was trully only skin deep, after crashing into the same car over and over again the only way you could tell i'd done any thing was that the paint work was scrached. but hey it may have just been a demo. Oh and can some one tell me want LOD points are?

Ummm, you know you can alter the damage setting right?
... Try hitting a wall with full, or even partial damage and see how the car responds...

I agree, GT5 Time Trial Demo wasnt what i was expecting to see. I am a big Gran Turismo fan, never really liked the Forza series but I have to agree that Forza 3 is definitely a better racing simulator then this current time trial demo. The GT5 screenshots and videos are nothing like this current demo. I just hope GT5 is nothing like this demo as it reminds me of Ridge Racer.
