Cheers for the advice everyone, could become useful in the later rounds, they're only going to get harder

Not that hard.

its still going to be set up for Casual players to get the free cars...

Yep only Round 8-5 is for the nissan drive, I reread the site.

If rumours are true that event will be a NON current GT5 track. (Rumour)

Which will test driver skills on learning new track in a short time.. (Rumour)

Im using the Steering wheel and controller as its not always convenient to have the wheel out, I find I can post same times with both but I guess its personal prefrence, also the type of wheel is relevent. Just remember to switch off all assists as they slow you down

Re: GT Academy 2012 - Round 1 & 2 Discussion

I'm enjoying this new spin on GT academy with similarity to the licenses. I get to the point where I set a decent lap time but frustration rapidly builds when trying to shave off a few more milliseconds. I don't know how you lads manage to get in the top 100 rank. That red car on 2-5 was a bit annoying. I'm sure Gandalf was driving because every time I tried to overtake the driver must have shouted "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!!" lol

Re: GT Academy 2012 - Round 1 & 2 Discussion

I'm sure you are more than likely correct with that 'angle' theory but there is a definite yawning gap with the 2nd car part registering having passed the finish line. Hell, I'm finishing in front of my own pathetic ghost and posting a slower time? LOL - that just ain't right !!
