Any one had a go at this, If so what is your time. Say if you use the wheel or a pad. 

Pad users are suffering rather badly in this trial. Just because of the SRF.

Pad Time: 1:34.0xx

Did it with a pad, several mistakes and managed a 1:40.xxx

Not at the the ps3 atm but I did gold it with the pad.

Pad also.

Took me 4 or 5 goes to complete a valid lap.

Mainly due to the over the crest, then downhill left hander 2/3rds around the track.

Finally hit a time of 1:39's, which was good enough for me.

Question:

Isn't this the same event that was run for the GT Academy?

Same car, same track, same prize?

Strange it's being offered again to those countries that already participated in the Academy.

Perhaps a new prize car, for those eligible for the Academy, then both prize cars being offered for players from countries not involved in the Academy would have been better.

At least then it wouldn't have been a double up of GT-R.

Something I still find silly is that you can't change the number on these cars.

Got down to a 1:38.8xx with the pad.

Doubt I'll better that as I can't seem to find a consistent fast line through first corner, currently either going off or seeing my ghost car disappear off into the distance!.

Done a 1:40 with a Pad, it was the second clean lap I managed.

as someone said before the down hill bit 3/4s the way through kept screwing me up.  Or I went to fast into the last corner goingwide.

Once golded I never bothered any more not interested in teh leaderboards.

Yesterday redlined a 1:31.4....
