It appears that today is the day that sees an end to a media embargo, as the internet has been bombarded with new GT Sport videos over the last 24 hours with many journalists from around the globe posting YouTube videos on their latest experiences with the game.
I've selected a few videos highlighting some of the core features of GT Sport.
There are many more out there to be found though, so happy hunting.
But for now, here's a look at my chosen 3.
We get to see part of what the Campaign Mode, Livery Editor, and the Scapes section have to offer.
Inevitably the videos also show quite a few tracks and cars that at this point haven't been seen before.
So here we go.
This Livery Editor... does anyone know if it has a line up of Flags??
and a free edit to add your own Name to the Cars.
My plan would be to add my National Flag and Driver Name like we see on Touring Cars and Rally Cars etc
The access video below shows PlayStation Access on the side of the car so I expect that you must be able to do something.
They are going to put out a video shortly just to do with the Livery mode so hopefully that will give you more information.
Does look like you can really make your player and your cars look like you want them to
Yeah was just looking at the video just posted by @Tassie_tiger
The Games does look something special at first viewing... maybe spend more time adjusting this and that than actually racing LOL
I'm passionate about my Country and love to wave my Flag at every possible opportunity... so it better have Flags LOL
Not so long to wait now, just gotta figure out which version to opt for.
A red rectangle and a couple of white lines.
I can't say I've seen flags shown anywhere yet.
And I know what you mean regarding the drivers name and flag on the car.
If there isn't some type of automated system setup for it, I'm sure any easy work-around can be organised.
Yup that is the only other way around it.
Test my drawing capabilities LOL
It did exactly that with a version of NFS a few years back.
DiRT 4 has it already incorporated.
i just turned my laptop on to post his one. You beat me to it
PS Access team will have a few videos up this week. Will be checking them out.@Tassie_tiger
It's a very good video.
Lots of info. there.
Arcade seems expanded this time around for offline players.
Custom races sound interesting.
And I noted "Multi-player Battle" in the list, which I assume is a LAN option.
And with Sport mode Daily Races, plus FIA events, then also traditional Lobbies, online racers should have plenty of options too.
All of these Achievements look interesting.
And exchanging 'Mileage" points for car upgrades is a new system.
October can't come fast enough.
There's a few more classes in there, than I already knew about.
Knew of at least 6 during the beta. Although we only got to play with 3 of them.
With nearly 300 cars being added post-launch. I think we'll have enough cars to play with for each car class.@Tassie_tiger
Another video from the PlayStation Access team
PS Access does VR
Still haven't done any VR driving so looking forward to trying this.
Really test if I get motion sickness or not@RenegadeXtreme
That looks scarily good actually... shame that you have to wear a device on the Head... that is what is putting me off... I just don't want something on my Head to play a game.
You have played VR... how far to the left and right can you look to.. 35-50 deg angle from a straight on view... pretty doubtful that anybody could turn their Head further around without snapping it LOL
The PlayStation VR headset is designed really well, so you hardly notice that it's even on your head.
It's a shame these videos can't show off how great VR is. Because you really need to be wearing one to see the car and environment in 3D. But you have full 360 degrees of motion. Turn around look between the seats through the rear window if you want.@S2N-Ava
Thought it might be the full 360 deg.. but for the purpose of driving.. then you are not really going to use more than 100 deg to the left or right
DiRT 4 from last night, without VR... you just don't know what is aside you.. turning into a corner and a car is on the inside.. Whack
Think I might have hit @WinnieP a few times as I could not see him near my car. But, then did notice that he had a few issues with the walls at some point LOL
I'll use the right stick to look sideways on the grid, but i find it awkward whilst on the move. Keep meaning to see if I can change it to R1/L1 but doubt it's an option.
Think I lost it trying not to clip both you and mat at different points.
Tried VR but would like to give DIRT or GT a go, but tend to use the under bumper cam for GT anyways.@S2N-Ava
I actually followed you suggestion... about the Buggy Champs etc
Good money from a few laps
Can pocket over 200k in a short time
Also, made the Pace Notes a little closer to the event, which improved my corners.. Rally Stage with the Mini was going well until I got it stuck on the banking, no power to get it over the edge back to the road and the Reset button flashed a few times and I managed to keep missing it.. lost lots of time in that one incident.. but 2nd was a good result for a change.
I'll have a look later to see what footage I've got to bore yall with. At one point on the Rally it seemed like you Mat and I all miss judged and fell off a steep hairpin.
Yea think the 4x4 trucks was a quick one for cash. 6 figures for a few laps.@S2N-Ava
