It's amazing that all the people that say there lost there cars are all new members. Forza fanboys maybe?

That's not entirely fair now is it? Its becoming fashion it seems to just accuse anyone these days as trolling.

I wasn't accusing anyone of being a troll. Just pointing out that all the post in this thread saying they lost there saved game were new posters that happen to join yesterday and the new post saying they lost there saved game join today. My comment about the Forza fanboys was uncalled for, but it just looks fish to me that's all

Re: GT5 1.03 update is live! (149MB)

Fair enough, I may be new on the forum, but the reason I am just posting today is because I NEVER had any issue with my PS3 before or any of the games updates. And I never had an Xbox either... So now, the reason i was going off at PD was because they should have been fully aware (if they had tested the update before pushing it to the public) that it may cause a problem (and maybe give the option, had they released also the patch logs, not to download the patch 1.03).
Oh, and after all, why is there a need for an update to add damages when the game took five years to be released and should have come fully completed? It just looks to me like the will to make profit with Christmas approaching and the quite big competition in terms of racing games (I refer here to NFS hot pursuit here for instance) took over and they just chanced it. They just took the risk to get some of their most loyal followers unhappy, that's all.
If that makes me a fish, well, fair enough...

What i am saying is that it is not the patch that is the problem  if it was the patch my garage game save would be gone aswell, It is the ps3 processing the patch . Havent your ever downloaded a game demo for ps3 for it  to either part install or install then say corrupt dosent work or the like what you do is download again and it works oh look the demo works it wasnt the demo it was my ps3 processing it first time. I heard for the gt5 first patch it happened to people too . It is your donald duck weather or not your ps3 installs the patch correctly(goes for demos, videos, trailers etc) and with a patch each week from pd i do hope my luck holds out not a problem so far touch wood

Ok, maybe... But when a demo is downloaded and says it is corrupted, it usually does not install onto the system, and there is indeed a "corrupted file" icon that appears. Problem is that here, the patch returned an "install successfull". No such thing as "error bla bla bla" or "corrupted file", just a plain, starightforward download and install...

All working fine.  60GB Launch Phatty. :smileyhappy:

BTW, people need to stop throwing around the Troll accusations.  It makes perfect sense that people will register with the official forums looking for support only when their game is not working as it should.

Of course, if a n00b with one post to his/her name comes along and creates a thread called "GT5 suxors, Forza FTW" then you can flame the little runt.:smileywink:

Thanks for that :smileyhappy:

My PS3 is an 80GB Phatty, so I am just a bit bitter at the fact that the game i have been waiting for so long is not working as I expected... What worries me is that if the update worked for quite a few people, do you think that PD will listen to those for which this has not worked and will do something about it, or should we just bring the game back to where we bought it, hoping to get a refund?
