Re: GT5 DLC

There are recent rumours in the media about pending GT5 DLC and where there is smoke, usually there is some fire backing it up.

These rumours are based on comments by a couple of SONY people, not necessarily PD, and there is no timeframe given, of course. (My guess would be we get some before the end of the year, however my guessing isn't all the great.)

Re: GT5 DLC

PD will set a release date for the DLC as the end of this year and then delay it about 50 times. :smileywink:

Re: GT5 DLC

There most likely isn't going to be any DLC. There will be a few updates with a possible new car or 2 for free but no tracks probably. The game has been a bit of a fail tbh one of the biggest let downs of my life I probably wouldn't pay for DLC.
They are already developing gt6 and it takes them months to design 1 track so...

This is what i want as DLC, not everyone's cup of tea unfortunately but in every racing game there should be legends of racing, its what made racing fun!

Waiting to race at the Nurburgring

Battle with Ford Capri and Ford GT in a Mini at the Nurburgring!

It is a newly discovered game i came across and it is such a fun game and found a community that have different cars and liveries for the game.

Re: GT5 DLC

Wow gt legends with altbierbude if Im not mistaken? You my friend know your stuff I have endless respect for that game and the sheer amount of content the altbierbude devs got into it...

Unfortunately I doubt pd's knowledge of classic racing both in cars and tracks goes this deep. It will always be Tsukuba (ughh disgusting) over something like Anderstorp. 5 variations of a 1980s civic over just one Ford Capri or a Lotus Cortina etc.

The fact that they provide absolutely no option of communicating with the players is a big mistake in my opinion. Take as an example the introduction of remote racing. We never asked for it but they introduced it and we all initially thought 'neat idea'. 2 weeks later we all once again think what a boring waste give us more cars and tracks.

Im quite disappointed because I've completed the game and Im really struggling to find a reason to play this game again, league racing once every 2 weeks is the only thing that can get me to play it. An injection of new content is desperately needed.

Yeah, GT Legends is a fantastic game to play with tracks like Goodwood Revival and the Nurburgring Nordscheife. I love how you can start the car in the pits/garages to continue your hot laps before the race and the fact that some racers fail to finish due to problems with the car like electrics etc. The guy on the side with the warning flags is cool aswel, if PD introduced something like GT Legends into GT5, GT5 will be a more awesome game to play, i like the challenge to race old cars to beat the faster one's, espeically in my Mini with my advantage over handling like going round corners at faster speeds and not needing to brake as much.

Re: GT5 DLC

Ahh GT Legends, good memories from that title, tho I was truly annoyed about the car weight in that one, since there wasnt any, even Mustang went upside down from a slight touch on other cars, argh.

Simbin games are great but I wish they'd fix the weight problem, as I believe there should be some sort of a gravity involved afterall.

Capri, Escort and Mini really should get into game as premium models, and WRC would be alot of fun if another player could take the seat of an cartographer, like in real rally :smileyhappy: tho it would need some really long point to point rally circuits to make it actual feel like rallying.
