There are no 'facts' when comparing one console game to another.

It's purely personal preference.

Still, FM4 is a good game, and absolute must to have for car enthuasist, but lacks with realism alot.

Someone saying that there is no "racing sim" on console, but still the GT5 is used by true life racing drivers for practising (Learning tracks)

FM livery editor is awesome, but so far I've seen alot of Manga/anime girl pictures mainly, not much needed when speaking about racing.

no iRacing can be called as true sim either, it does exactly the same than GT5 and Forza, tho console games does it with better looks and with more cars

for example, in iRacing you will still have stationary sitting position, you dont feel Anything happening under your own bottom, only thing that "shakes" is the frikkin' wheel you're using, that doesnt tell you a thing about whats happening around you, period.

Mainly cause i've said it before.

In this generation on these games (forza and GT), to have 80% of the cars without the option to drive where reality intended, inside behind the wheel, totally and utterly destroys ANY emersion you could possibly get from a driving game, be it 'sim' or 'arcade'. 

If you blindly brush over this fact, then great, enjoy floating behind a car as you try to pretend that your really driving around a race track........ but for me its nothing short of a disgrace in gaming terms at least.

Its a very very very basic need for emersion. I could even live with the poor last gen standard cars if it werent for this................... shocking.....simple as that.

if you are happy driving behind your car in a game its really about as arcade as it gets....regardless of how great any physics arguably are......they are wasted without interior view!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that is all.....you guys hate it cause you know it hurts that GT5 gave us this........thankfully Forza 3 and 4 BOTH have full interiors. (not as good as shift 2's though)

ALL cars have a cockpit view, its been this way since the Spec 2.0 update.

Next up should be the actual interiors of those standard cars, perhaps along with the conversion to premium.

 Some people don't like racing in interior view, some like bumper view, some like the hood view, some like to see the whole car whilst racing. Just because GT5 cars don't have all detailed interior doesn't mean the experience has gone from it. IMO, Forza was made for Arcade and for people to race cars they love like Ferrari's. Kaz is a race driver himself, he knows more about racing than any of us I should imagine and knows what it takes to make a racing game.

I must have suffered some brain injury as a child, because somehow I can't help but follow this train wreck of a thread, checking in to see which of the latest arguments for and against are being repeated for the umpteenth time.

Nobody's ever gonna change their mind based on the arguments being repeated here, so I'm going to try this....

Now that you've won the argument, you'll have a lot more time to play the clearly superior video game you enjoy (and hey - maybe there is even a Forza community out there you could join filled with other similarly enlightened people such as yourself) and the rest of us here on the GT5 forum can get back to playing and talking about GT5.

Forza 4 is an XBox only game.

GT5 is a PS3 only game.

Both games are specific to a console and not multiplatform and cannot be compared.

FM4 is the best racing game on the XBox.

GT5 is the best racing game on the PS3.

If you own one console then you will be happy with whatever racing game your playing.

If you own both consoles then both games have their ups and downs but you own both and can choose which to play.

FM4 and GT5 are both fantastic games that i enjoy playing.

Ok, I have both a ps3 and an xbox 360 so I am NOT a fanboy of either. When it comes down to it forza 4 is the better sim, most people that play it don't put in in simulation mode. I preferred GT5 over forza 3 anyday, but forza 4 has really done it this time. The graphics in GT5 are just plain horrid compared to forza 4. Im not in any way saying GT5 is a horrible game, I love it, its just they took 6 years to develop a game that doesn't compare to a game that took 2 years to make. In my honest opinion, after a while GT5 just gets to be a boring chore(although I still love it), while forza 4 keeps on exciting. If you run both at 1920x1080 you will see what I am talking about with graphics. So Forza 4 > GT5. Sorry but the truth must be known.
