There is a few secret trophies as well.  

So, I don't like the look of Gold Standard at all. I am aiming to platinum this one though, but when I saw some of the trophies, I felt tears rollin down my face

There are some pretty insane ones that will take ages, I do agree that the Gold Standard one will cause headaches and anger.

Needs online trophies Im a little disapointed that it didnt have a trophy for win one race online and race online 100( or something) times =(

its not about the trophies, its about the racing, the thrill of it. pushing the car (and driver) to the edge.

Agree, I haven't ever looked in mine, or anyone else's "trophy cabinet."
Playstation cabinet that is.

I think it is one of those games like Red Dead Redemption where the game comes first, and the trophy aspect is a very distant fifth or sixth on the 'reasons why I play' list...

I understand that people will pick up games like Tomb Raider Underworld and Alone in the Dark for fairly achievable platinums... and even play the likes of Borderlands past it's completion to finish the plat (I'm guilty of that...).... but anyone who trys to get the Gold trophy for golds in all events in GT5 just for the virtual trophy, and not because they are a GT completionist who feels satisfaction at getting all gold licences for instance.... really needs their head read..

I'm trying for Golds just to see if I have the skill to do it, not because there is a trophy for it. The trophy is just a bonus.
