OK, the latest UK retailer to jump on the " Pre-order Release Date " bandwagon by promising a May preorder release of GT5. Having been burned 3 times already by Play/Game+Amazon.co.uk with orders which i cancelled, i feel sorry for the thousands who will see the ad and excitedly pre-order! Shame on u Argos! As much as i know the game will be a huge success, this gt5 saga which has gone on since Sony hinted GT5 may be released with the 1st PS3 console launch years ago will be remembered for Polyphony/Sony's shambolic development for years to come! Perhaps Yamauchi should concentrate on gettin our game out in realtime or even sometime instead of trying to become the next michael shumacher around the world!!!

I went into a shop today to ask and they told me the Marketing Dept for Poly were not sure about the marketing budget, Sony have actually seen a finished game sh why the F*** havent I!  I got my PS3 when Prol was released because I've been a massive GT fan for many years, I'm going to sell my PS3 and get an XboX as they seem to release games much quicker and Forza is amazing and OUT NOW!!!!!

"Massive GT fans" wouldn't sell their PS3s at all. You couldn't pry them out of their dead hands!

...and to follow you mastr, forza is good, but not amazing.  no minimum speed on ovals, gt4/5p has that.  no way of teaching, hence relying on the racing line gizmo, gt4 has that.  crap wheel support, not on gt.  too focussed on a decent pad drive.  lack of variety in the gameplay.  no 'endurance' races.  (7 laps of the ring is NOT an endurance, for some of us its a practice session).  no animated pit work.  no tyre compound choice for the race cars. 

i could ramble on forever, but thats not what this is about, and as you quite rightly said, we are all about gt and no real, hardcore fan would dare sell their ps3's simply because a merely 'good' game happens to be on a rival machine and theres still no word on gt5.

it WILL get here, theres been too much shown, too many demonstrators at the shows and too much info about the game to suggest that gt5 is vapourware

hmm as i said in a earlier post mac.."ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT". be patient my friend. GT5 will be with us all soon & we shall all be very,very happy with it im sure. it will be a million times better than Forza if GT5P is any indication. we are all very frustrated by the very long delay but we will still wait for the perfection that is GT5. why would u wana buy a Xbox when it will break in 6months of use anyway?

If he wants to sell his superior console for an xbox and play Forza let him. I can think of a number of things I could spend my money on whilst waiting for GT5. Games like Supercar Challenge for example. Probably one of the most under-hyped games we've seen on the PS3. Graphically it beats most competition, the physics are good, lots of game modes to get stuck into, and a decent online. It's a hard offline game mind. You really do need a wheel to play it, as it's very very tricky with a pad. The AI are very good, so don't expect to be winning every race you enter. You'll probably have to settle for 5th or 6th now and then until you either get a lucky break or you just keep at it.

Then away from racing there's a load of great games on the PS3. I've had friends going on about MAG, and that seems a pretty darn good game. Final Fantasy is here on the 9th March. Modern Warfare 2. God of War is also nearly here. Then if you're into sports games, Fifa and PES are always around. Games like Madden 10 and NHL 10 are very very good once you get into them.

Trust me, there's a load more things you can do to enjoy your gaming time than spending a good £250 on Forza and an Xbox.
