Re: Gt5 connection could not be established

Welcome to the GT forum, KDORTT_KUSHH!

Is this a new problem, maybe starting after a recent update?

Is your install a new one or has you been using it for a while?

Re: Gt5 connection could not be established

How old your install of GT5 is gives us information on which we may be able to help you better.

If your install was working OK then broke down and started causing problems, then I would have to think that you need to delete all game updates and re-install them again. Doing this usually solves most user problems.

Of course, you should also keep a new archive of your progress file, too, without overwriting any older ones.

Re: Gt5 connection could not be established

I first instaled it about a year ago wen i brought the ps3. It was working fine i didnt play for a while couple of weeks or so tried playing needed the update so installed that, played online once didnt work for about a week, online once more and now never since, do you mean delete all games updates or just gt5 game updates?

Re: Gt5 connection could not be established

Delete just GT5's game updates. No others should be affecting this.

Re: Gt5 connection could not be established

How would i go about doing this backing up gt5 or lose all data? Cheers again

Re: Gt5 connection could not be established

You back-up any game save (your progress files) through the XMB's Game menu.

Deleting game updates is also done through the XMB and doing so should not affect your game saves, but you should be frequently backing up your progress files anyway.

Re: Gt5 connection could not be established

Okay thanks again for you help, gt5 game data through XMB is saved now on portable device. Do i then delete the same one just been backed up, and then reinstall if off portable storage?

Re: Gt5 connection could not be established

There should be no need to delete a "good" game save, your progress file.

After you backed it up, then you can go ahead and remove GT5's updates with the "Game Data Utility" and then re-install them.
