Can anyone help me when I go to options an try to update to spec III from II, it says there are no updates available??????  HELP

I have never heard of this problem before, so either we need more info about how you went about it or you need to call SCEE.

I went into network settings in gt5p an this is how its set - UPnP settings mode 1,  check for and download expansion on startup is ticked,  disable advanced dowload op is ticked an max upload speed is 256kbps an cant be changed. I click the expansion data download button, I click yes to the confirmation to check for expansion data it checks an says no new data found......

Should I change any of the settings to a specific set??

The PSN should not let you play Prologue unless it updates and it should update itself.

If anything else happens, then you need to call SCEE and find out why.

I think i see what hes doing, you dont DL the spec lll update from there dude, click on the news icon,then go from there!!

ps wee tip do it early in the morning if you can, i had to re do it again, try Saturday a few times didnt work. Tryed sunday before 7am, worked first time about 15-20 mins!!

I called sony an they dont have a clue!!!! even asked me if i'd be kind enought to let em know if I found a fix!!!! surely i'm not the only person to ring an ask????

I also tried me pals disk because his is on spec III an he said it was like that from the start, but mine still says spec II

Im in the news found the Spec III update notification now what? i can do nothing but read about it nothing else..... On reading it i discovered i have the lotus, ferrari an citroen but still say spec II on ny page?????

thanks again for you time an input hopefully i can get this sorted soon as im losing intrest in playing the game because its the only reason i buy playstations, for GT

Something seems screwed up, so you could back up your game save data, remove Prologue, then reinstall it all again.

(I presume, here, that you bought the disc version and won't be losing one of your download rights.)
