I recently had to leave my PS3 on overnight when I found that you cannot save and exit during a series of races in a championship like GT All Stars for example.
I would much rather not have to do this to my PS3 so can someone tell me how to contact the game creators (Sony/ Polyphony Digital Inc.) to see if they could patch this into an update?
I looked at the website and could not find any support e-mail address!

Shane,
I discovered that the button that says "suspend race" is the save and quit button!
I tried it to see what happens and sure enough it said that I could return to this race when the game is restarted....
once you proceed with the action the game saves and you can turn off your PS3. Then when you start GT5 again it will automatically go to the race that you are at.
I just wish that I didn't have to work it out for myself. I couldn't find this out on the ingame manual even though I looked for it everywhere in it!
Hope this helps for you and anyone who sees this post....
Enjoy your racing and feel free to friend request me on PSN if you want!

Its not in the in-game manual as this feature was added in an update, possibly 2.0.
How it worked, and what you needed to do were in the notes for the update that added the feature.
Why anyone should have to explain the "suspend race" feature is crazy. "suspend race" in itself is a pretty good explanation of what the function does.

Thanks waza for the info, but they still need one for the enduance's races as well.

Thanks Timmy for the info about endurance races as I didn't know about the pit lane option to save and return later... I have not yet even raced an endurance event.
Even though GT5 has been out for a few years I only really started playing it a bit recently. I didn't realise that the option to suspend a series race was in an update either as I only just got to try a series (one long enough to need to save) when I first posted the question.
Never assume anything about someone!
Enjoy your racing everyone.
