Insane update!

I just bought GT 5 and imagine my surprise of finding 15 updates for a total of probably 3GB to download!
What could it possibly beupdating - surely that is a whole new software ... it must have been poorly coded!

This is the worst update I have seen on my PS3 ... bunch of clowns!

Re: Insane update!

i recently had to re-install aswell and it took 2 1/2 days on my slow connection. But its so worth it once you start playing. It truly is the best racer ever.

It's quite well known that Sony made PD release GT5 well before PD was ready to sell it. Most of those 15 updates are content upgrades. The game is MUCH better now than it was at release.

They are about to release a new disk with most of those updates already on the disk. I think they are going to call it 'Gran Turismo 5XL' or 'Gran Turismo 5 Spec 2'.

I would say they will call it Spec 2 to keep in line with other releases, people who bought previous versions of Gran Turismo but have yet to make the leap to GT5 will recognise it.

Re: Insane update!

Well, Hopefully NEXT TIME, people wont cry and moan and throw tantrums at the development team to "GET THE GAME RELEASED NOW",,

then perhaps we will have the game as the devs wanted to give us on day one!

I have seen comment saying Kaz wanted more dev time, so obviously enough people put enough pressure on to get them to release early, so knowing this when i got the game, when i noticed some issues i could only blame those who raged to get the game when they wanted, not the devs.

Yeh, it was either that ...... or releasing the game in time for some serious Christmas sales.:smileywink:

(Not sure 'people pressure' would ever be enough for any Dev. team to prematurely release any title if they considered it badly flawed .... if nothing else, that's simply bad business practise)
