Re: Installing Gran Turismo 5

When I first played the disc, I chose the Full Installation and it all worked fine after about 50 minutes. But when I'm playing the game, I still get all the "Installing" logo's on the bottom of my screen.... Whats going on?

I even went to the Options Menu and tried installing it again (which took about 2 minutes) but its still the same....

Re: Installing Gran Turismo 5

It still installs on the fly, it just reduces these other install times and therefore load times.

Re: Installing Gran Turismo 5

:smileysad: Having bulk install problems, it keeps telling me I don't have enough room, even though system information tells me I have 55GB free, I've deleted songs, videos, trailers, all sorts, but it still won't get past the preparing for install stage. Can anyone help?

i was just wondering if anyone knows, if I change the user and login to the ps3 with another account, do I have to install again?

Re: Installing Gran Turismo 5

hey - did you get an answer to this?

I did a full install on first load (which took about 40mins), but everytime i go to a new track or menu it still says 'installing' in the bottom right - i thought the pre-install was meant to speed this up??

I have found the menu you're talking about to and it lets me press it again - not sure if this means it failed the first time or if it will wipe the old data and re-install it from scratch..

Re: Installing Gran Turismo 5

Pretty much all games pull the data from one install, it's just save data that differs, so no, you shouldn't have to do another install.

Re: Installing Gran Turismo 5

Same issue here. I did not do the full install the first time I inserted the disc. From utilities, I click "Pre-install main game Data". It installs for 30 min or so, but there is no difference. I can do it again and again. Seems like it does not register the installation or something. And I do not have an issue with space on my HD either. Annoying as the loading time on this game is slightly too long...
