Is it worth paying £30 odd extra for a logitech G25 wheel than a driving force GT wheel??

Is it worth paying £30 odd extra for a logitech G25 wheel than a driving force GT wheel?

I have found a Driving force GT for under £80 and a G25 for £110, is the G25 worth paying that extra £30 for?

Cheers

Yes, especially for the G25.

Even the pedals are worth paying that kind of difference, let alone the quality of the rest of the wheel, and getting the sequential shifter.

G25 for £110? could you giveme a link to that please because I bought mine for £180 on ebay which was the cheapest I could find.

It's definetely worth it, think about the extra stuff you get, you get decent pedals with the clutch instead of the flimsy non resistant dfgt pedals, you get a proper metal flappy paddle instead of just a button behind the wheel, you get the H-shifter which can also be used sequentially, leather stitched wheel instead of plastic and you get better force feedback on most games and more games compatibility.

The wheel really shines when it's played on the PC with games like rfactor and gtr2, they are the ones that get the best out of the 2 ffb motors.

For just £30 extra I'd DEFINETLEY buy it instead of the dfgt.

One thing to look out for is the postage which is not the best , price wise.

Also Im only looking to use it with GT5 prolouge and GT5 when it comes out will that make a difference? as im not sure if you can use the clutch pedal or not with GT5.

It says it's out of stock m8, that's why it's so expensive these days, they stopped production in logitech to focus on selling the G27 and these days it's out of stock almost everywhere that have sold it for less than £200.

Ohh ok, i didnt know they had stopped production. Is it possible do you think that they will bring out a new wheel or improve the DFGT for when GT5 comes out??

I'm not really sure as nothing has been announced yet but I wouldn't be surprised if they did release a new affordable upgrade to he DFGT. If you're willing to spend more than £200 the G27 would be gr8 or even better the Fanatec GT3 RS V2 clubsport edition because that is, in my opinion the best wheel and pedal package out there that's not as expensive as the $1000 ECCI trackstar.

I haven't had a chance to try the clubsport pedals out by they sound really good, they've got brake pedal vibration for when the brakes lock up so you get a better feel of the car and a whole lot more.

The Fanatec 911 turbo (not to be mistaken with the Fanatec 911 turbo S) is almost wireless. The pedals can be used with batteries and the pedal and wheel can be connected wirelessly to the dongle but there is one wire that needs connecting and thats the wire that connects to wheel to the plug but thats the only wire  neccessary. The shifter would also be required to connect to the wheel but thats only like 20 cm so it's not gonna get in the way.

I think you can buy it for around £150-250.

I've tried this wheel out and I can say that the fact that it's wireless doesn't compromise the ffb strength, it's still got the standard fanatec 3 ffb motors (1 in wheel and 2 in wheel rim) and it can be compared to be as good as a G25.

This is a full comparison of all fanatec wheels.

I'd say this is the only good wireless/affordable wheel out there.

They already have a new wheel out, the G27! It's quite pricey, though, I've seen it going in a lot of places for over £300..
