Just me or anyone else not impressed with extreme bhp cars?

[ Edited ]

I love this game, and have only managed to get to level 24 so far. No b-spec and just playing the a-spec and seasonal stuff for fun. But what does bother me a bit is when you go online and see the ridiculous amount of rooms that have stupid limits on cars bhp - all through the roof more or less. Does anyone else think that it's more fun racing in the sub 400bhp area? I just find it much more enjoyable racing the old school (and modern actually) hot hatches and performance saloons. I had a go of my mates F1gt and the Vettel cars he has the other day, and why I can see the fun in them - the novelty wore off pretty quickly for me. It's sad to see that a lot of the online folk seem to equate more bhp with more skill. Not true. Anyway that's just my opinion, just wrote it after feeling let down by the f1/Vettel offerings - although I shouldn't be suprised as I felt real disappointed with the Zonda R - I mean really, why the hell give this premiuim guise and give the much nicer other 2 variants the standard treatment?  And here's some cars I would give my right arm to see in the game : Escort RS200, Escort RS Turbo S1 + S2, Sierra RS Cosworth500, Sierra RS Cosworth Sapphire 4x4, Nissan Sunny GTI-R (the ultimate wolf in sheeps clothing) - in fact I'll stop now as there's too many to list. But less of the exotics PD - more of this please : http://www.google.co.uk/images?um=1&hl=en&tbs=isch%3A1&sa=1&q=for+escort+rs2000&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=  (and ignore the crappy late 90's rs2000 variants - obviously!!)

For the online part create your own room and set it to your liking.

I have to agree with Jason here on the online room part. Create your own online room set your own PP / BHP limit. You might even get more proper drivers in their instead of the little boys with there souped up rides.

I have bought and modified a number of cars that have a max power of 400 bhp or below and they are great. One being a Renault Clio Sport (with a shopping trolley handle for a rear wing), the other being a Volvo C-30 R-design. Theres a few other cars that I am working on as well. These will go into "hire" section on my profile page in GT (the share cars with friends bit) in a few weeks time, so add me if you want to experience these rides :smileyhappy:.   On the other hand I currently have a Lime green Metallic Ferrari 458 Itialia sat in the workshops awaiting a few bits to be added to it when I get time. Not a lot more mind.  I really miss the Ford Escort in the game and again I feel they've missed the opportunity in bringing a premium version tot he game. Sierra cosworths would be good as well.

To be honest we could do with a good few 80's & 90's fords in GT.

Hell I am still wating to see the Lotus Carlton (even after 1100 game days)!!!!

If you need extra money, for any future modified cars you might want to invest in then consider setting up your b-spec drivers and letting your friends race them via remote racing.  I have just checked out my 6 drivers and they have ammased about a million between them since around 2pm on Saturday afternoon!!

Oh the 80's Japanese Car festival on the seasonal events. I completed them using the Mitsubishi Pajero!!

Best fun I've had on two wheels for a few weeks.

Re: Just me or anyone else not impressed with extreme bhp cars?

Yeah but to be honest, I've kinda lost faith in the online thing - creating rooms and waiting for an eternity for nobody to join. Tried joining a group that has regular races - applied and got no response. I think I'm just more annoyed with the lack of focus on some of the slightly older classics that I like.

And the Lotus Carlton - saw it early on an didn't get it when I had the chance. Not seen it for ages too. :-(

What you want for it? ? And can I find the original paint colour by looking in the paint section - the name of the paint at least.

When it comes to colours - as nice as some [aint jobs are, there are very few I would want besides the original manufacturers colours. Applies to any car I'd own in real life.
