I was lucky I guess and only lost 1 car but it's a favourite of mine.

Ford GT LM Race Car.

Thankfully only 1 car and the winner out of all this is my brother in law.

you can get it back if you get him to send it before 3rd March, they temporarily removed the restriction on trading cars worth more than 1m cr.

1.07 introduced another feature, where you can only now trade one vehicle per console per day, so if you have 2 or 3 people who have their own accounts on one PS3, only one of them can send one car for the day....

one car per console  aload of *****  if i trade with a mate now my kids cant trade with there mates after school    do they expect us to buy more ps3 consoles?? as it is we gotta buy 2 games just to go online with each other  !!! now this   who do they think they are?

Anywho, the trade limit prevents duplication and ebay abuse, finally, I'm all for it. There are now alternatives. You can go into your garage, press triangle on a car of your choice and set it to online. Any of your friends that can view your profile can then select that car and use it for themselves without the car changing players possession. Much better solution if you have a car your friend wants to run a series of races with.

The trade/gift limit per console not only applies to the cars it also applies to Paints, Museum Cards and Accessories if these were being traded. So once one account holder on the console has performed their regulated 5 trades per type, then no one else from the same family who plays the game can trade their items. This doesn't sound like the original reason put forward by Polyphony/Sony that the trading ban was being introduced to minimise the losses that some players were experiencing from some gamers who were scamming people out of their cars. It looks like their actual agenda was to cover the accidental hole they had introduced when the player game files were able to be backed up and restored, and the birthday gift easter egg could also be exploited as such. Additional note; the per console limit appeared after the announcement that there would be an extended amnesty period before the ban would be permanently imposed, probably due to the huge numbers of dummy accounts being setup once the announcement had been made. We will see whether this limitation is lifted once the car ban comes into play or whether they will leave it in place permanently.

            Shame on Sony for continually moving the goalposts with this game since the launch date. It will become such a grind that I cannot see any new players from here forward persevering with this game to any where near completion.
