Managed to get on the forum today. Back at work from a short break and my PC is still logged in. Have not been able to get on at home as I cleared Internet history and Cache from my home PC which logged me out and haven't been able to get on since.
Pretty sure that the forum will be alive with threads regarding the outage when network finally comes back on and the punters can get logged in. While questions must be asked of Sony on the security of our details, particularly in light of previous attacks, I do want to criticise Sony too much on the way it has been handled. We all have to bear in mind that a crime has taken place and it would have been paramount for Sony to switch off the servers to enable a full, comprehensive investigation to take place to maintain and preserve the integrity of any evidence found. With the scale of the attack slowly revealing itself to being unprecedented in recent history which has contributed to the longer than anticipated down time, it would have been a difficult challenge to any company to manage the fallout whilst they need to keep information privileged as to not hamper any future prosecutions or have the hackers second guessing on Sony's next move.
I am prepared to wait as long as Sony needs to bring the service back better and more secure than ever and bury the hacker problem once and for all. Sadly, the more secure they make it, more chance that somebody is going to see it as an incentive to get in.
One thing I do hope when it comes back - 3 weeks of new Seasonals and a bombardment of paint chips!!!
It will also be nice to see everyone back on the forum sometime soon.

Keep an eye on the blog link I put up on page 3 of this thread for updates.
From what I can tell, the closest Sony have officially stated as far as an expected re-start date, is something along the lines of ... an expected rollout of some services over this week.

Seriously, can't remember where I saw 4th, but definatley read it somewhere on the search for info. I have been doing time trials on Nordschleife in an F10 in Arcade Mode during down time which has been fun, but it now needs some new oil and service etc, but I have it set online so I cannot get it out my garage to take it to GT Auto. Grrr!
