As the title says, im getting huge loading times between each screen.

seems to have started after 2.0 update.  Is this happening to anyone else or should i just re-installing everything.

Your not on your own mate.I also have had a right god moan about this on the forum last week and as far as i can tell its quite a few people since the update but i could be wrong  and maybe we are just an unlucky minority.

i'm going to reinstall, its driving me nuts starring at the the loading screen.

I've looked around a few forums, but no one seems to be raising this issue.  It may well be just a minority who are getting it.

Have you actually timed it to see how long it is and if there is a difference between pre 2.0 and now?

And also remember.... that everything that everybody wants added adds to the load time.

One thing you could try is signing out of PSN, GT5 communicates with the servers during all loading screens even if you are not going online, if it loads faster then there would be something with the internet connection, if it takes just as long the problem is probably with the game data so reinstall that. Not save data.

Sorry but the more I see of this thread the more I can only think WAA WAA, I want it RIGHT NOW, give it a break, the more cars and paints and parts and suits and helmets you get means it is going to take it longer to load the game, not connecting to the servers, that takes microseconds to do.

Why is everyone in such a GD hurry with this game??? Relax and enjoy it.

Slight point of disagreement, connecting to the servers due to being online does add a considerable percentage of added load time.

Sure, it's still a relatively short period, but if speed while loading is an issue, then playing 'not signed in' will definitely decrease loading times.

Once again MY version of GT5 Remains FASTER loadng even when connected online. (1:45)

Not only is XMB to GT5 home screen faster buy about 5 secs than before version 2. 

But GT Home screen to race car set up is faster, buy alot. (only 15 secs for A spec)

This is because the RACE data is now loaded, While you change car setup. Not before car set up screen. This means if you change car set up before a race you will skip part of the loading wait. (total of about 50 secs from Aspec event menu to racing.)

Even going from Seasonal event menu is to racing, is less than a min.

Yes This does require the pre-install to HDD which installs all the track data so Only cars and music are now needed to be loaded.
