I wonder will the Nascar aspect of the game be any good?

nice video.  but there was something lacking, at about 42 seconds in the video.

nascar is a fantastic form of motorsport, its made to be watched, with equal cars and circuits designed for fan viewing.  i'll be excited to play nascar provided the little things are done right; restrictor plate racing, adequate crash modelling and physics, crash damage, tight racing and no half baked attempts at doing a championship.  if they are going to put in nascar i want all the races to be full length, daytona 500, for example.

yea, i totally agree, a full championship is a must but  I really doubt they will have all the tracks. I think they will get the damage and physics right, they said all race cars will have full damage in the game. Its a great sport to watch, pity there are no live races on tv anymore in the uk/ireland.

Okay, ignorant comment incoming... what does it matter whether they have all the tracks or not? It's just an oval, you've seen one then you've seen them all...

Not to put too fine a point on it, for those that care, but each track is different.

There are ovals, tri-ovals, rounded-squares, short tracks, super speedways and road courses, banked or not. Tracks can have many different configurations. Texas has 11, for example.

As much as I find NASCAR dull compared to other motorsports, I'm looking forward to burning around at 200mph+ with a few mates online.

That's about as far as I would go with it mind. I'm not too fussed on a whole giant championship, but I would like to see the genuine realism that aphex talked about. This is PD were talking about, so I'm sure they've done it justice. Let's hope so anyway.
