Hi, i'm new to posting on these forums but have been lurking around here for quite a while sniffing for any small scrap of info about the upcoming GT5..
I just finished looking at the post about an Australian GT5 racing team - and was wondering if there are any fellow kiwis who, like me, want to give those aussies a good run for their money! As with the aussie team, this would be open to ANY ability-level drivers. I myself have only come into Gran Turismo with the GT5 Prologue, so I am certainly no expert or amazing driver... I hope that there will be people much more talented than myself interested in joining the team.
As far as names go, I think GTNZ has a nice ring to it, however that is only one idea so provided there is actually interest in this team, keep new name ideas coming in!
Now I don't have enough technical expertise to put together a website, however a simple solution to this would be to make a Facebook page or something similar. However it would be much better if we managed to find someone willing to spare the time to put together a website with a forum etc.. I am not sure how easy this is, so if anyone has any idea of how to go about creating a website, leave a comment and we will look further into it if we actually gather a decent amount of members.
Lastly, I for one feel there should be no hard feelings towards the aussie (and any other) team - any serious bashing/hating/put downs directed at any other team I think should result in a stand down period or removal from the team. We love our competition here in NZ, especially when it comes to challenging our neighbors across the ditch, and I don't want to dampen the spirit of the competition between the two teams. A bit of harmless competition talk is fine but - I know quite well that things can get out of hand, and I just want to make it clear from the beginning that although we will be competing, we are still friendly and courteous to any and all other teams. Bad behavior will not be tolerated.
Okay, I think thats all for now, lets see if we actually get any interest in the team!
