I like the new cam more than the old one, but I can understand how others may not. The first few laps I did with it I was feeling a bit queazy... but I think it is more realistic that the perfectly fixed camera. It does get extra bouncy if you're off on the grass or something, but for the most part I think the extra realism on the track is worth the slightly crazy bouncing when you're off it.
It also seems like the screen tilt is exaggerated when taking corners, and again I think it feels more realistic.
I do notice more sceen tearing than before and I'm guessing it's due to more on-screen movement - or maybe the additional movement is making screen-tearing that was always there more noticeable.

I noticed the new camera straight away, but i do tend to use the chase cam view. I prefer that and at first the new camera caught me off guard. Think the effect might be a bit too strong, almost like it's meant to be used when on one of the internal or bumper views.

Ha! i have a weird ocd thing where i use almost all the views each race. The first lap ill do from inside the car, second lap will be roof/bonnet cam, and third lap on will be chase cam, i do this almost all the time! I like looking at the cars so much and they are all so much eyecandy anyway!

I'm liking the new chase cam. effects on smooth race tracks.
The effects on rough surfaces though, eg Nurburg., is very difficult to get used to.
To the point where I think most using chase cam. would find it difficult to run their regular lap times around this track, or any other rough surface track for that matter.
The gentle cam. rolling up and down, or left to right, on a smooth track becomes more a shudder on rough surfaces.
Very distracting.
I still like the new cam. though, 90% of the time.
The other 10% is going to take some getting used to.
And that's probably my main point, it's a good enhancement of the cam, it will just take some time to adjust to it under certain circumstances.

Exacty.
The very first times I spent playing GT, my eyes felt as if they had sand in them because I wasn't blinking as usual. Now, they don't.
We adapt.

no i dont agree with your comment. if you don't get on with something you stop doing it, very rarely would you adapt ! (see my previous post) how many mountains do you drive by that are rocking about like you are on a boat?
what we need is the choice to change this in settings, either on, off or with a slider bar so you can set it to your own personal level. why has it been forced onto us at this stage ?
this needs looking at and im sure it is something the GT team can deal with quite easily
looking forward to the next update as i have not been able to put this game down since release and this is killing it for me.

I agree, give us the opportunity to switch it off. I am driving with the chase view camera too, and it is completely ruined now. I liked it the way it were before, and I am sure many others also did.
Don´t force it onto us like that, give us the opportunity to choose !

Interestingly, I'm not disturbed by that new camera - I think it makes the game better, instead.
However, I've found a few issues after 2.02 patch.
First is the widely-known and spoken about missing HUD glitch in 2P split screen. I'd say that's the next most important issue to be fixed, right after that online shuffle problem PD already apologized for.
Another thing, and I'm not sure if it's there from the beginning or just after 2.02, is that an Audi A2 1.4 '02 in UCD has fuel consumption marked as 999.0 L/100km ("Fuel consumption was economical at 999.0l/100km for the petrol model and 999.0l/100km for the diesel.")
There might be some other cars with the similar problem, but that's just one I discovered today.

I drive" in car" view only and it gives a better impresion of car movement. I tried "SHIFT"and really liked the car movement and in car sound effects, very similar to a sripped out racer, that hollow no insuation sound. I'm not sure if this was an attempt to copy some of that feel, but in car I really like the change. I hope it is developed for future releases.

Very economical indeed
According to wikipedia, A2 1,2 TDI can run even less than 3L/100km and normal petrol engines about 5L/100km.
Noticed the missing HUD in 2player mode with one car but if I remember correctly it was visible with another car.
