PD / GT5 Home space

Hi all,

Well, I wasn't going to do it, but it looks like I have.

Put forward a thread questioning the validity of a GT5 space in Home.

Now, I have no idea how many of you are regular Home visitors.

Kinda get the feeling that it's probably a minority.

But, since coming out of Beta (still questionable, but that's a whole different conversation) there has not been a PD nor GT Home space.

So, a few simple questions.

Do you think the GT franchise is a major player in SONY's PS console repertoire?

Do you think it's worthy of a dedicated space in Home?

If so why ... if not why not?

Re: PD / GT5 Home space

The quality of the "Home engine" wont be high enough for PD.

Already suprised that Audi would allow their cars to look rubbish as it is.

Re: PD / GT5 Home space

A Gran Turismo space on Home would be a very very good idea. And who said there had to be car models in display? A simple lounge with car pictures hanging on the wall, a few games (probably car Quiz / GT series quiz?), GT merchandise as rewards, a video or two of mixed footage of all the Gran Turismo series and a nice music playing in the background, sort of like in the Red Bull Beach, exept with better music.
To me this is more than enough to keep me entertained on Home.

Re: PD / GT5 Home space

erm... what is Home space? What have I missed?

If it is what I think it is then, from my own point of view, I spend too much time on Gran Turismo as it is and would probably not bother spend time socialising in an area outside of Gran Turismo itself. I would rather spend what limited time I have actually racing against my online lobbies and socialise within that environment.

But, as I have said, that's just me...

Re: PD / GT5 Home space

There was a Home item given away as a promotional event if I recall a few years ago. A Nissan GT academy race suit. But thats all that has ever made it into Home and to be honest I am kinda disapointed that GT5 themed space hasnt. One of the biggest game titles on the PS3 and its yet to have a space in Home.
