PSN download vs Bluray disc

I thought the bluray disc would have some extra movies on the disc itself right from the start, but the only movie I can find in GT TV is the opening movie. What's up with that?

Re: PSN download vs Bluray disc

The BD is a waste of time, you have to install it to disk, nearly 6GB of it and then you still need the sodding BD inserted to play!

If I did not have to install it, fine.
If i could of run it from HDD because I installed it, great!

I did, it wont. Sod that. If it has to install and is the same game as PSN download then not allowing me to run it from the console without disc is just cruel and a waste of time.

Nice racer, though.

What's the point buying the disk then whinging that you have to use it? If you want it running off the HDD get the download you fool.

Perhaps your incredible fool-free vision let you know in advance that the BD had to install 6gb to the HDD. It'd be nice if you shared such bloody wisdom with the rest of us because there is no such indication on the box.

It was an either/or thing, either do not install or run from BD only.

Re: PSN download vs Bluray disc

I was going to get the disk... Just the CBA phase took over, so I downloaded it.

Now having the disc I would probably do the same knowing then it was an installed game. The only benefit I suppose is portability to other consoles without the hefty download each time. It seems like the sort of game that should stream off of a BD easily enough though.

Tell us how long it took you?

The BD version should also come with a movie about hte history of GT. Other benefits are that you can play it on any account on your PS3. The downlaod version can only be played on the accout which downloaded it.

Re: PSN download vs Bluray disc

the download is locked to your PSN account and you must be online to play it. As my girlfriend also plays my PS3 and has her own account, I chose the blu ray version so she can play it as well

You blindly buy a product without any background info, that's your problem.

That is a fair point, I wondered if that might be the case thinking about warhawk's situation earlier on.
